The nuggets do not need Kobe Bryant, they do however need a third scorer and I think they will be a very tough team to beat in the west. Shard would be a very nice fit with the nuggets, except if they want to compete for a championship they are going to need a guy who can play defense also so id say moreso then shard(of the players needed to be traded) Artest would be an even better fit.
Just involving Phoenix the best I could think of would probably be Marion, Barbosa and Atlanta's unprotected '08 1st rounderA trade I came up with on a different board though.Suns trade: Shawn Marion, Leandro Barbosa, James Jones & Atlanta's 1st rounderSuns recieve: Kobe Bryant and Vladimir Radmanovic Boston trades: Theo Ratliff, Delonte West & the #5 pickBoston recieves: Shawn MarionLos Angeles trades: Kobe Bryant, Vladimir RadmanovicLos Angeles recieves: Theo Ratliff, Delonte West, James Jones, Leandro Barbosa, #5 overall & Atlanta's 2008 1st rounder.Lakers get rid of their worst contract in Radmanovic and bring back a lot of young talent and an expiring contract which gives them multiple options for which way they want to move the franchise towards. They could rebuild around Bynum, Barbosa, Farmar, West, #5 overall, #19 overall and the Atlanta pick or they could use some of them as well as an Ratliff/Odom/Brown as trade bait for a Marcus Camby or a Kevin Garnett. This deal as is would save LA 60 million over 3 years and would enable them to make a serious run at big name FAs in the near future (such as Gilbert Arenas).Celtics land Marion for the same package they are rumored to be offering to Phoenix. The deal is basically Marion for the #5 and West and would give Pierce that 2nd star he wants.Suns land Kobe Bryant while keeping Amare Stoudemire(if you listen to these 2 they seem to be best friends with how much they talk about each other). They take on Radmanovic (whom I believe Kerr has mentioned he believes is a player who would fit in well in the Suns system) to appease Los Angeles. The added salary Suns take on in this deal would easily be made up by the revenue Kobe would bring in via merchandise sales.
All of these proposed trades rip the Lakers except the bulls deal. IF kobe is going to be traded, the best scenario for the lakers would be CHI.

Because of his demanding for trades and with his salary teams will already hold out on the Lakers and try to force their hands and at the same time Kobe has a NTC that would really limit where Kobe would agree to go to which handcuffs the Lakers even more because teams knowing how much (if at all) competition they have for his services.Shaq demanded a trade and they only got Lamar Odom, Briant Grant, Caron Butler and a mid-late 1st rounder. Iverson demanded a trade and said he would not agree to a deal to a certain team (I believe Charlotte) and Philly only got Andre Miller, Joe Smith and 2 mid-late 1st rounders for him.

Kobe is still playing as good as he ever has played. I dont even believe hes hit 30 yet.

Kobe is still playing as good as he ever has played. I dont even believe hes hit 30 yet.</div>I think Shaq was still the most dominating player in the game when he got traded. He was coming off of a season in which he posted 22/13, along with 3 blocks per game, while shooting 59% from the floor. He was traded for Odom, Butler and Grant. Odom at that time was a a 17/10 player shooting in the low 40s from the floor, while Butler was basically a nobody, 9/4/5 with sub 40% shooting. Add to that Grant; who played about 70 games and had over $40 million left on his contract. So while acquiring Shaq, Miami ended up keeping their promising young player (Wade), and their leading scorer (Jones). That's why I find it kind of absurd that anybody would think the Bulls would trade both Gordon and Deng for Kobe. Gordon is head and shoulders above what Butler was at the time of the Shaq trade. And Deng probably has more value now than Odom did; when you consider stats and off court stuff.Regarding the Iverson trade: I think Iverson is the most overrated player in the league. He's nothing more than a stat stuffer. So I think Philly got a good deal for him; and it showed in their play soon after the trade. But you can look at other superstar trades and see that they are usually acquired for peanuts. For example the T-Mac and Carter trades.
I don't know how you can call AI a stat stuffer since he's lead/carried his team to the finals with no all-star side kick on the team.that makes him a winner being able to make the finals with role players and himself.
Richard Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince, Pick 15, Pick 27, Nazr MohammedPG: Billups / HunterSG: Bryant / MurraySF: Marion / HillPF: Maxiell / JohnsonC: Webber / McDyess

Not only that, he was the league's defensive player of the year. Iverson had a great team around him that year. He had the defensive player of the year in Mutombo, also the 6th man of the year in McKie, Larry Brown was the coach of the year, and Iverson himself won the MVP.But besides that one season he hasn't done anything. Philly's record in the 11+ years he was there is sub. 500.

Iverson is far from a stat-stuffer. Obviously he'll have a sub .500 record when the best player he's ever played with in Philadelphia was a past-his-prime Chris Webber, and the last three coaches he had in Philadelphia all had big problems with the way they coached the team and handled the personnel.Anyway, let's not try to turn this whole thread into an Iverson debate... let's just stick on topic.

It had a bunch of savy and good role players who jelled well as a team, but AI was always option 1 when the team needed to make a play on the offensive end.and unlike a real stat stuffer star who is demanding a trade on the radio, to his owner and on his website, AI is an MVP of the league and has led his team to the finals without another alpha-male on his team.so I think it's unjust to call him a 'stat stuffer' given his accomplishments.p.s. did the bold put it back on topic
I would offer Odom and Bynum to the Pacers for Jermaine Oneal for Kobe.....................in order for him to stay that is :dribble: :dribble:

I wouldn't give a damn thing for him to come here, and I hope the front office feels the same way. He didn't want to play for us in the first place and I doubt he'd want to now.
