The embarrassing curb stomping in the playoffs made our respectable 3rd place finish seem like a lucky fluke. I personally hope for major roster turnover but I highly doubt anyone noteworthy will be moved. Status quo seems to be the Neil plan.
half the games were a C half the games were a B Im going B- for the season, we over-shot vs what i thought and there were some really stellar moments, but nothing which really made me confident iso midget ball was gonna be a post season winner. post season was a G, like off the grading chart shit tier bad.
oh, all up regular and post im giving this bitch a C, which is higher than i thought id give, mostly as the season is 82 and we did kick some ass often, the post season was an ultra kick in the balls, but im reluctant to shit on us too hard. except for meyers. imma shit on him hard fuck that dude. still.
Respectable 3rd place finish? This roster had no business finishing close to 3rd. As for the playoffs, a lot of people thought Holiday deserved an all star birth over Dame, and Davis is on another level. That team is better than ours
I'm giving it a B+ because they ended the season with the ranking I predicted even though they came out of the gate kind of slow. I also improvement in nearly everyone, especially Collins. I think we're going to be even more pleasantly surprised by next year's result.
C+ - I figured the West was as good as ever going into the season and it turned out to be true. I figured 46-48 wins and was hoping a first round victory. The way the first part of the season went and the noise dive against the Pels, imo, makes them just a tab about average. If these guys come out down like last year then I would say its not so much coaching but leadership on the team. Love Dame, but he now needs to turn up the leadership and fire these guys up.
The Spurs will beat the Blazer playoff streak next year. 1. 22 Syracuse Nationals 1950-1963/Philadelphia 76ers 1964-1971 2. 21 Portland Trail Blazers 1983-2003 3. 21 San Antonio Spurs 1998-present 4. 20 Utah Jazz 1984-2003 5. 19 Boston Celtics 1951-1969
No. 1 doesn't really count on account of there being so few teams in the NBA. This means that no. 2 should be no. 1.
