No shit. 10 in roll. The Blazers need to bring in Tony Robbins and make the players sit through a motivational seminar

A Catch and shoot. Catch and pass. Catch and call time. In the paint, rebound and quick dunk/lay up. I always thought it was stupid to dribble when you have the ball with established position in the paint for quick rebound and put up. Keep the ball chest high never below the belt (Turner did that last year). When I coached, we had a big kid that always dribbled when he could use his advantage without wasted motion. Finally broke his habit after he ran the court perimeter in practice. That's all I can think of now.

I'd also advise players to time pregnancies so the baby will not be due when they have to play basketball.....
    Alley oop.....we suck at those

None of which should be done in a post up situation with defense. You're asking him to shoot quicker when he should slow down.

That's my biggest complaint about Nurkic (who I hope we keep). He receives the ball one step from the hoop, and feels indecisive because his man is 2 feet away, so he kills time with a dribble. Almost always, the defender swipes it away, but then Nurkic shows his strength by struggling almost at floor level and getting it back. Then he finally puts it up and it goes in. He does it the hard way, but he has the strength to get away with it.

Whatever upgraded w in this scenario would be negligible and not worth trading our pick for. Who did you have in mind?

Yeah but those dribbles don't come without the shakes.

This is the big question....we need a Paul George type talent and I don't follow enough other teams to keep up on who's available...Mirotic would be great on this team...I think the landscape will change for free agents after the playoffs so I'd wait and see who wants to be traded for one....Kawhi does but I read Pops won't trade him to a western conference team....Holiday would be great....I see Neil finding a guy the way he did Mo...disgruntled player with a lot of upside.

We do need those guys, I was advocating for Holiday as our 3rd guard a couple years ago. I was just thinking of who you wanted to acquire with the TPE since most of the guys you listed are making more than that.

Boogie Cousins is intriguing but he'd have to want to cut a reasonable deal and be here..Derek.Favors...maybe Will Barton a lot depends on if we keep Nurk..right now we need 3 pt shooters and 2 way players

Impossible Boogie ain't signing for $5M a year haha. Even if we could offer the max he'd still likely resign in NO. Derrick Favors probably gets more than $10M. That's the problem with being capped out right now. This is the market to have cap space in. Too bad we had it in 2016.

I'd love Will Barton. Hes exactly what we need off the bench. But he's gonna make at least $8M. We'd have to clear salary to get our full MLE (because, as it is, were to close to the tax line).

But that's the problem with this offseason... we don't have the flexibility to add what we need. It's gonna be tough.

If you don't pay Nurk....you pay somebody...and as I said...he'd have to make it doable...he's a risk now...that lowers the paycheck most of the time...I don't think this will happen though.

Demand to be traded. Then we won't feel bad about the necessary Sixers-style rebuild.
