not sure. I just know i see them everywhere. Even got a letter from a vendor today stating they have to increase costs of services due to escalated employee wages in order to try to hire quality employees.

 

Yeah. We're getting the same letters from our vendors. Even had some say they aren't doing our work because they need to focus on their higher volume customers because they can't get employees.

Of course, those places tend to be the ones which treated their employees like dirt...

 

My theory is everyone got used to not working, so they are chillin.

Funny you mention that. The one who sent us the letter, Ive visited. Filthy place with minimum wagers no doubt and they are constantly screwing our orders up…

Yeah, it was coming. The quarantine showed a lot of people that their time is far more valuable than they thought.

Especially boomers who were hanging on to their jobs out of habit.

 

COVID taught me to really get into my wife. I just wish I hadn't added 15 lbs. in the process.

 

Lol, yeah I hear you there. And I REALLY couldn't afford adding the covid-19... Alas, I did.

But for me it was just keeping my kids busy. We didn't have time to eat right and be everywhere to keep their extracurricular stuff going. Usually having to organize and/or coach it ourselves.

I mean, I'm sure we could have, but we were struggling with it even before the lockdowns.

 

The first post in this thread nearly a year and a half ago. Remarkable. Hey, I was born in Portland and always have high hopes for the city. That's a hard nut to crack these days, though.
