It sounds like your spiritual ideals align more closely with Seventh-day Adventists, as those who reject God’s memorial of creatorship—the Bible Sabbath—choosing to worship and honor Sunday in the full knowledge that it is not God's appointed day of worship, will receive the 'mark of the beast.'

 

And men get to heaven first, right?

 

Cutting and pasting graphic images on a public sports forum is not fighting against anything...it's promoting your own insecurities masked as outrage. I have children and grandchildren and none of them are subjected to anything deviant in the public school system except for fear of mass shootings...didn't see your outrage post over that Nashville event. You are the one subjecting people to the material that bothers you, without filters or warnings. Police your own conduct. Underaged people read sports forums.....you exposed them to that which you think should be closeted. Baiting and trolling on the internet is hardly "fighting" anything.

 

Who cut and pasted anything? As related, it was sent to me by a relative, a school teacher from a Portland suburb, who's aghast at the content. Who wouldn't be? Don't bother answering that.

 

When I was in seventh grade I read a real two-fisted sci fi novel, one of those man's man sci-fi novels with hard sci-fi elements and military space maneuvers. What was interesting/surprising is that the main character was motivated by the graphically described rape of his sister by a space pirate. But that isn't on anyone's list to ban, and never will be. Because it isn't about the content. It's about who makes the content.

 

i don't care who gave it to you...you put it here with a clear double standard about your false sense of censorship. I'm aghast at the killing of children in Nashville...actual killing of innocent children but "Portland"! The horror! Start a thread on an actual tragedy that doesn't revolve around your suspect homophobia or better yet.....don't.

My religious neighbor told me that somewhere in the Bible, its says there will be a half hour of peace and quite, in heaven.

 

The only thing happening in our schools that worries me is that my daughter may be shot.

 

In America she is about 20x more likely to be killed by one of her parents than by a gun in school.

 

Sad thing is “people” are worried about things our kids are reading in school or if they see people in drag…. Give me a fucking break. How is that harming my daughter in ANY way. Be worried about bullets not lipstick!

Understood. But the point stands. The problem is the lack of access to education, healthcare, and social safety net.

Fix all of those and both problems go away. No need for draconian laws on law abiding citizens.
