<div class="quote_poster">Quoting rookie789:</div><div class="quote_post">pg-marko jaric sg-RASHAD MCCANTS sf-Wally Szczerbiak pf-kg c-Michael Olowokandi they better start rashad man, his college stats are crazy he would do good in the nba if he starts he probably gets at least 13ppg</div> If this is the starting lineup, Kandi is going to be in foul trouble within the first 6 minutes of the game. The TWolves will have one of the worst perimeter defenses in the league if Jaric, McCants, and Wally are on the floor at the same time. I think TWolves need to start Hassell and have McCants come off the bench as an offensive spark plug. Hassell can defend the better scoring SG or SF on the court, and let Wally guard the weaker of the two.
Clearly this year is going to be a more of an althetic move instead of a balance, efficent lineup with Sanders running the show because of the lack of expierence and more of a talent level. On the issue of height and position, doesnt matter what height Garnett is. I personally feel he is in the low 7 foot range (7'1 at the most) but it isnt his height that has him at the power foward... its his general freakness (for lack of a better word) of altheticism and wing span. He doesnt have the body to keep up with any type of center much less Shaq. He would just tire out to quickly trying to hold position against any center... its not height, its overall wieght. The man is a twig compare to other centers - even bigger power fowards in Tim Duncan, Amare and so on. As far as lineup... make it althetic as possible. Id like to see McCants get the trail and error treatment and thrown right into the mix.
Sorry for the very short answer but: No, why should he? He thought the money and contract length we offered him was not enough to feed his family and so he decided not to sign with us again and I think by now we don't want him anymore, even if he only wants the vet minimum.
I was watching some nba game, and it had an interview with KG, and he was talking about how 7 footers are freaks and that he was really 6'13 not 7'1. I think he could play against centers like Brad Miller, Rasho, Foyle, Jerome James, Kurt Thomas, Lorenzen Wright, Okur, Chris Mihm, etc. like if you list the centers in the West, the only ones I wouldn't put him on is Yao, maybe Magloire, maybe Dampier. But I don't think Dallas would like Dampier on a quicker Garnett, or Magloire getting into foul trouble covering Garnett. For the purpose of their team, I don't think it would help to much playing Garnett at center, because its not like Eddie Griffin is amazing at this point, and it also puts their star out of position.
KG is and will always be one of the best to ever play the game. The reasons why Wolves did bad last season were: A) Coaching Position; Flaunders was coaching the Wolves for a long time and getting changes in coaching style affected the team Injuries C) Chemistry Problems and i dont think the Wolves will do that great this season either unless they make a big trade and get some back-up for KG
