Well, once it became apparant that Oden and Roy's career would be ruined by injury it was it was apparant to everyone. What should the Blazers have done? Traded Roy in his prime because his knees might go bad? But I remember hearing reports of "future hall of famers" that were offered for Oden.

LA doesn't seem to have any debilitating health issues though, he's in a mental funk.

The more plays Batum and Hickson get into, the fewer Aldridge gets into.

We have 3 good forwards playing simultaneously, so his piece of the pie is smaller.

McMillan had a class system. He kept Batum at bay to provide Aldridge with a cushy job.

Or teams trade a player when he's got great value and get shit back; while seeing their player go on to be a monster. Even the blazers made a move like that. Remember oneal for Davis?

IMO, Stotts wants LaMarcus to be Dirk. He isn't. (I didn't hate McMillan forcing LaMarcus into the post.)

Crazily enough, I'm sure Stotts would love a LMA-for-Love swap.

What's up with LMA is that he just isn't nearly as good as his reputation would suggest. Plain and simple. What you're seeing from him is WHO he is and HOW he plays. He's a jump shooter who doesn't even have a very good jump shot, and sadly that's his best skill.

(Howdy, folks! Figured a LMA-hating post would be appropriate for my first post over here.)

So people expect movement out of everyone on offense, but also expect Aldridge on the low block the entire game? Grass is always greener. People will be clamoring for Nate's drop it in and get out of the wya offense soon enough.

Nope. I expect that if 5 of every 6 shots is going to be 16-23 feet at a 39% clip, that you just don't shoot as much and hit all those cutters and runners and such.

Random Aldridge note, he has the highest DRB% of his career so far this season. Lowest ORB%, due in large part to his role in Stotts' offense.

Aldridge is being a good soldier and doing what the new coach wants. Meanwhile, practically the only time he gets the rock is when the team gets desperate and wants him to bail out the offense. He's not choosing to shoot long 2s, that's what this offense is giving him. When he was playing with Camby last year, Camby sat in the high post and fed him the ball on the block perfectly, often for dunks. Now he's playing next to Hickson who is useless any distance away from the basket, so it's Aldridge who's pushed out. Plus he's playing with a rookie PG who is, let's face it, more shoot first than pass first. I bet he misses Camby and (especially) Andre bad.

Hey Wooks! Thanks for the welcome! I don't know why I held onto that piece of garbage OLIVE board for so long. Old habits something something...
Looking forward to more constructive disagreements about our "all star". :)
