Yeah I know the theme and content are different obviously.. there's no denying that. But I mean all it was is changing everything "Kobe" to "Shaq". Yes there are completely different pieces there but my point is that alot of it is pretty much Jason's writings and idea.

Anyways, on to my actual question..?

    You didn't read it, then.

And to your actual question...the media is going to squeeze the life out of Kobe until they get what they want.

If you wanna talk about guys leaking information and the media jumping on it...talk about Ron Artest asking time off for a CD, Wilt's women, Jordan's affair, Rider and Kemp, the Iverson vs. Brown saga, Kwame vs. Jordan, Shandon Anderson running his mouth, Rafer threatening to quit basketball, Webber vs. Peja, Barkley spits on a fan, Rodman's quotes and actions, McGrady giving up in Orlando, Shaq leaving the Magic on their backs, Jordan's relationship with the Wizards organization, and let's not forget the other sports, such as Ali and Foreman's good reputation turned bad, then back to good...Mike Tyson, Ricky Williams, Deion not wanting to pay a car repair bill because God told him not to, Bonds/Big Mac steroid use, Sosa's corked bat, Olympic medal problems...

But...those guys never had to mention anything about that, yet they did. They could've been like Paul Silas on Eric Snow last night...but they didn't.

News = money, simple as that. The media will twist and turn every piece of info they can get to destroy a reputation, especially a rep like Kobe's...which went from incredibly great to bad, to terrible...to nothing.

I read "your" letter... forget it, I'm not gonna even continue that futile discussion with you.

I asked if you agree about Kobe keeping his mouth shut instead of running it around feeding reporters more stories... but instead you listed some of the incidents in sports.. ok, so what does that mean..? Those incidents have been talked about. Alot didn't work out too great for their reputations. So I'm guessing you agree Kobe should've kept his mouth shut?

At some point Kobe should have realized the media is not to be trusted and the drama they create with his interviews is a big seller, so they are never going to stop. So at some point, Kobe should have kept his mouth shut. Why?

Because he's causing distraction after distraction for the team, he's making it a tough sell for any free agents to come to the Lakers in the future, and I find it hard to believe his teammates trust him with personal information regardless of what they say to the media.

^Why does it matter? Kobe's supposed to be perfect anyhow.

But obviously everything he does it just wrong, and not good enough for Jordan. [IMG]

You guys can bash Kobe for talking to the media all you want. But before you do that, look at other guys... like Shaq.

Well in other words... get a reality check.

Well, I've said this a while back...Kobe just needs to avoid all interviews. He needs to walk away from everyone, not say a word, not speak...just do his talking on the court. When BSPN runs up to him for a comment after a win, just keep walking.

Or if he doesn't wanna be that rude...he can just use the famous "no comment" saying and put an end to the ridiculous questions.

Exactly! The media doesn't have his best interests in mind, so why help them and put yourself at risk? Make them talk about his greatness on the court instead of the tabloid journalism sports writers seek from him.

"You say it best when you say nothing at all" by Ronan Keating... Kobe should remind himself over and over by listening to this song or maybe karaoke it. He's gotta stop putting himself at further risk. "No comment" says it best.

The article that guy wrote was senseless. Brandon's letter was awesome, you slammed him good. Has anyone got replire from him though?
