So, he'll demand a trade to Miami?

    Is Brogdon currently 100% healthy?

I am not saying it is ideal, just that with who we currently have on our roster I would start Brogdon at SF.
Why would Thybulle be a better option at 6'5" /200 than Brogdon who is 6'4 230? Both have the same wing span.
Weight is important when players are backing you down.

Hopefully, Knox or Murray can beat him out but when I watch film of Malcolm he is guarding bigger players quite well.
He is a smart and willing defender.

Starters(wins and losses don’t matter so playing out of position doesn’t matter). I want Scoot and Sharpe on the court for minimum of 30 minutes every night

    Scoot
    Ant
    Sharpe
    Grant
    Ayton

    Scoot/Brogdon
    Ant/Sharpe/
    Rupert
    Grant/Thybulle/Murray/Knox
    Williams/Walker/Camara
    Ayton/Brown/Reath

The 8 in red and blue will get most of the minutes. I think there is a legit argument for any combination of the red guards to start, and I think all 6 pairings will see significant time together. Brogdon, Sharpe, Grant, and Williams will all often slide up a position (and Ant down) depending on the circumstances.

I think this is gonna be fun.

    Scoot/Brogdon/Mays
    Ant/Sharpe
    Sharpe/Thybulle/Rupert
    Grant/Walker/Murray/Camara
    Ayton/Williams/Brown

    PG - Scoot 30 mpg / Brogdon 10 mpg / Simons 8 minutes
    SG - Simons 26 mpg / Sharpe 10 mpg / Brogdon 12 minutes
    SF - Sharpe 20 mpg / Thybulle 20 / Murray 8 mpg
    PF - Grant 34 mpg / Walker 14 mpg
    C - Ayton 30 mpg / Williams 18 mpg

    Scoot - 30 mpg
    Simons - 34 mpg
    Sharpe - 30 mpg
    Brogdon - 22 mpg
    Thybulle - 20 mpg
    Grant - 34 mpg
    Ayton - 30 mpg
    Williams - 18 mpg

If Brogdon is still on the team, I would slightly adjust it to this:

    PG - Scoot 32 mpg / Brogdon 16 mpg
    SG - Simons 32 mpg / Brogdon 14 minutes/Sharpe 2 mpg
    SF - Sharpe 30 mpg / Thybulle 18
PF - Grant 34 mpg / Walker or Muray 14 mpg (Alternate games)
    C - Ayton 30 mpg / Williams 18 mpg

My dilemma though is Knox and Camara. They need minutes at some point at SF. I guess they will have to wait for injuries.

This is perfect for what should be the goal. I don't care what people say about Simons and Sharpe playing smaller than their positions. These guys need Playing Time!!

It might help that the Blazers have a G league team nearby which looks like will be playing from mid-November to the end of March.

Good explanation. If this is the roster Chauncey has to work with then yeah we need to go small to get them minutes. At some point,
a bigger SF will have to develop. Maybe Camara, maybe Rupert when he adds weight, maybe Knox, maybe someone not on the roster. But for now, play the ones with talent.....somewhere.

I think you want to get minutes to Brogdon/Grant/Williams so they can hopefully grow their value. I think there's a VERY good chance that two of those three players are gone at the deadline.

Grant and Williams both provide a huge need. So the return needs to be really good. And I am not talking about focusing on any more draft picks. The main return for those guys needs to be a good young forward....or forget it

I'm hoping the return from Grant will be really good. Young forward level of good.

I’m doing minutes instead. For the first time, in a long time, this team can play positionless basketball. So, barring injuries….

    Scoot 30
    Ant 34
    Sharpe 30
    Brogdon 28
    Grant 34
    Ayton 31
    Williams 25
    Thybulle 18
    Camara/Murray 10

I’m hoping Williams shows he’s healthy, I’d be interested in a Williams for Jones swap with the Pels.

Hmm if he shows he is healthy wouldn't we want to keep him? What is easier, finding someone like Jones or someone like Williams?

I just don’t have much confidence he will have a long career. Of course, Williams will be worth more than Jones if injuries were not an issue. If we could get picks back with Jones for Williams, that’s more incentive to take a deal to me.

I have my eye on the bigs in the ‘24 draft. They aren’t going to be as good as Williams right away, but they will be team-controlled for 6-8 years and can grow with Ant and Shae.
