Johnson is still good and is way more versatile than Terry, it's not just CJ, Crabbe, Connaughton, Harkelss and Aminu could all use a guy like JJ to watch and learn from.
the problem is is that he's too good for us. Instead of being 6th we'd be 11th, and the lotto isn't deep.
I rather try and put the best team on the floor. Also, who knows... By next may this draft class may be considered really deep.
My guess is, NO is happy with this roster. This is now 100% his roster. Plus I do not see a “realistic” trade before the season starts. Let’s take a look at what we have before trading any of it away.
there's nothing feasible you want him to do? I think everyone will benefit from having another shooter out there
I NEVER, EVER in a million years thought I would say this but....gulp....waiting to get my head handed to me.....but....if he could stay healthy and keep his head outta his ass, Shabazz Muhammad might be worth bundling some "assets" together and taking a flyer on. That assumes he's available. The guy can light it up when the stars align and I think that's what this team needs right now. He can't do much else but there might be some instant offense there. The front runners aren't going to give up anything much of value. Maybe an up and coming team like Minnie might sell cheap? He could be their odd man out. I doubt Muhammad would tumble us out of a good lottery position and he could be very entertaining during what looks like a long season. Just trying to think of scenarios that might be more realistic or obtainable than some I've heard. Please don't kick the shit outta me too hard......
Final move is team to Seattle. Paul allen is tired of riding the yacht back and forth. Sorry cant figure out how to make font green on phone
I'd love to have Muhammed.. last year he had a per 36 of 21pts, 6reb, 2ast on 49% shooting and 39% 3pt shooting and he's only 23 years old. I think Minnesota views him as their long term starting SG though, so I feel like itd take a lot to get him. I have no idea what they'd ask for him..
The Bucks would probably trade Jerryd Bayless. He is the right age for this roster, but I am not sure he fits with what we need. If the price was right, I would think about trading for Jerryd just to add his 7 years of NBA experience.
Muhammad is listed as a SF, which puts him behind Wiggins. And MIN is fairly we loaded at SG, so I'm wondering where he fits with them. Bayless has hopefully matured but when he was with Portland he was the most selfish, out of control player I have ever seen on a Trailblazer roster. Having said that, he did cross my mind. But it would have to be one helluva sweet deal.
I believe this is basically it for the offseason. Teams have made their moves and are all full of hope. That will change after the first month of the season when players are out of the rotation, some are too young, other too old, some overpaid, others injured. Sure we will always consider making a trade if its a big advantage. But there is much to be learned about our roster and others in the league. That process will happen very fast once the season starts so no sense in making a deal now when we will have additional information and be able to make a more informed decision later.
the thing is, both Wiggins and Shabazz can play SG, and K-Mart could be their backup 3, but I don't think he's in their future plans.
Wow I was going to say your crazy and he's way too old but he's only 26. I thought he was in his 30's. Seems like so long ago we drafted him. I think I'd rather give CJ and Pressey those backup guard minutes to start the year. Acquiring Bayless is the type of trade we could do if we are in the playoff hunt later in the season and decide to aim to win games. No sense in doing that now.
One of the second rounders acquired from Cleveland to Brooklyn for Sergey Karasev. I doubt Neil pulls off anything big with the cap.
