May you die howling in agony and despair as Nyarlathotep consumes your soul.

In what bizarro world do we live in where people want Ross or mclemore over derozan? They aren't nearly close to as good, Ross has been called lazy as fuck too. If they cost pennies to derozans dollar ok, you can sell me on the potential thing. But come on.... One averages 20+ Ppg and attacks the rim very well. The others are maybes that have failed to live up to expectations

I am ready to go with what we have. I like having Kaman and Henderson provide veteran leadership to go along with our youth. Use our Cap space when it makes sense and collect future assets.

i think that a trade would have to involve mason. so maybe mason, crabbe, frazier, 1 2nd rounder for DMC AND McLemore. SAC also get jamal crawford from LAC. Sac gives 2nd round pick to LAC and we gives Lac 1 2nd round. i would do this trade when DMC get tired of listening to Karl. it a trade that a win-win-win for every team.

plus with this roster we can convince KD to come play with us. and we would still have a lotto pick. the future is bright for RIP CITY

Gotta love these trade proposals where we give up very little and get all stars in return. :sigh:

Think about it...if Sacramento were giving up DMC, they would be rebuilding again; why would they want Crawford in place of McLemore?

I like the Ridnour idea. Inexpensive experience, high basketball IQ (a coach's kid) with strong local ties. And he can play both guard positions if he has to.

Right now Kaman is our most experienced player. So that is 3 players with 5 plus seasons ....but I get your point.

I think we have to weigh the advantages of having an extra vet who can mentor the younger players, vs cutting one of our projects. Assuming we add someone who is willing to help teach, and who the players respect enough to listen to, we have to cut either Montereo or Alexander (in addition to Frazier)

It would be nice to add a coach who could do the same w/o giving up a roster spot. We currently have 16 players not counting Miller and Haywood

Getting DeMar DeRozan, Kevin Durant or Terrance Ross.

I think people are assuming Derozan will only be available at full value, whereas McLemore or Ross *might* be involved in change-of-scene trades for a lot less.

I disagree. Damian is a 4 year college player entering his 4th NBA season. CJ is one year younger. These guys saw how a good locker room functions the last few years. The only first or second year player projected in our top10 is Vonleh. Everyone is on the young side of entering their prime but we aren't a team full of rookies that need veteran guidance.

I think it'll be better to let these guys fill any leadership voids internally. Bringing in another vet costs us a roster spot which I'd rather use on the Montero style gambles. I'm all for bringing in a couple assistant coaches though.

There's just as good a chance we get LeBron and Durant in this trade as well.

Why - so we can go 4 deep behind Aminu and Harkless? They'll just block Alexander's development!

well, Alexander sucks there is a reason he only average 7 points and 6 rebound in college. if he can only average that in college then he is a big time bust in nba. i rather have KD, Demar, Terrence Ross, or McLemore over alexander. plus we are already stacked at the big man positions, we need a good small forward

well they can always release crawford or trade him to another team to get draft picks. it would be Sac's problem not our problem.

    Wow. Just...wow.

OK, I'm going to use very small words to try to help you understand a few things.
    1. Oldmangrouch was being sarcastic. He was joking. His post wasn't serious.
    2. Everyone would rather have KD over Alexander. That's the understatement of the year.
    3. As for your statement that "Alexander sucks"--his college coach doesn't like to play freshmen ahead of upperclassmen--there were two juniors ahead of him on the depth chart. As a freshman, in limited minutes, with a limited role, he did pretty well, and put up decent per-36 numbers. It's way too early to know whether or not he can play in the NBA.
Again, you miss the point. There is no incentive for Sacramento to make the trade that you imagined. You called it a "win-win-win for every team", but there's no "win" there for the Kings. It doesn't make them better. It doesn't help them build for the future. It doesn't do anything good for them at all.

    They. Would. Not. Do. It.
