Hope this all works out for you man. The HCP can't really give you any useful advice though. He's never had anybody meet or interact with him in person, and not liked him. This is all foreign to him. Just be yourself FAMS. If that ain't good enough, fuck 'em.
News Flash: All teenagers are annoying. I say that without reservation. The definition of Hell: Being in the midst of teenagers. I am living in hell. I live across the street from a high school. The reason? Must be because before the Blazers I used to like the Lakers.
They're the ones who are responsible for pestering the city until they put speed bumps in your neighborhood. There is usually an association for your neighborhood, and then there's a coalition for your area. This was the one that I went to a few times. https://swni.org/
You mean the people who stopped the teenage street racing on my street? Probably saved some lives, the jerks.
You're saying there was an advocacy group, so the City got revenge by putting speed bumps into their neighborhood? It's similar to when NJ Gov. Chris Christie put down traffic cones to bottle up traffic.
I think this is more of a regional cultural thing than an individual thing. Meaning, I think people on the west coast are brought up to be more nice up front and talk shi behind backs I think east coast is brought up the opposite. Im an east coast guy for sure. Having lived on both sides for years, I equate it like this: On the west coast your friend would tell you to your face, "Thats a nice shirt you have on!!! and then run to the rest of your friends and say, did you see that shitty shirt he had on? WTF is wrong with you???" But on the East coast, friends will be honest with each other. "Yo bro, why the hell are you wearing that shitty shirt, take that shit off or i'm not being seen with you!!!" There are always abnormalities, but after witnessing such behavior on a regular basis on both sides, I found it hard to pin an individual as being too pussy to speak up, or being a dick for speaking up. I started to believe it was simply how they were brought up to behave. Give me the in your face east coast over the fake as west any day of the week. At least I know where I stand, even if I don't give a fuck where i'm standing. @-Ace- good luck man, don't let the wimps who cant talk to you about their issues face to face ruin your bowling day. Score a 300 and rub it in!!!!
Well actually, it is a place where residents are alerted to unknown activities by someone unknown. In our neighborhood, we own the roads, on which we all have right of use. Others do not unless there are visiting a resident or providing a service.
...^^^This !...I learned a long time ago that if you worry too much about what most other people think or try to live your life by someone else's set of rules, you'll become bitter and miserable. ...my very close circle of friends and family are the exception..."The people who really matter don't care, and the people who care don't really matter."
No, a wall isn't really needed. The community is surrounded by forest, and it has one entrance road. You definitely know you are entering a private road residential area with no other way out.
Well no, not with speed bumps. On the other hand, I've lived in neighborhoods with an abundance of street racing. Perhaps the neighborhood councils were placed as a preventative measure. You should see the speed bumps near our ultra wealthy high school neighborhood. I've seen streets in Beaverton with a large amount of street speed bumps. Try Hart road sometime. You know, people get killed during street races. Maybe these neighbors don't want that.
Turns out she wasn't a big fan of my dad last year, and since I'm affiliated with him via father-son relationship and last name, I'm a bad person. There are extra money pots, etc, and she runs one of them. She will walk up and down the lanes a few times throughout the night, yelling out for people to enter the pot. There was no need to yell, as it wasn't THAT loud, and we would already decline it earlier, but I could see the frustration building up with my dad, and I could hear him under his breath many times: "Shut up.......fuck......" Hell, we have second row seats in the 200 level, and he has yelled at people in the handicapped seating area to shut up and sit down. They would just be standing up and visiting with people who came from their seats in another area, and nothing was going on in the game, and it was blocking our view......AND it was not anyone who actually had a handicap. I know someone mentioned east coast and west coast.....well, my dad's a baby boomer from New York, so there you go. Doesn't really give a fuck. I don't really care if someone likes me or doesn't, and I'm not going to go out of my way to change it. I'm me and that's what you get. I just thought it was really out of line to threaten my friends/teammates like that - don't let him sub or you'll be outcasts. There's not a lot to the story, but it's a real situation we all might have been in at some point, in one way or another, and I thought I'd share it. This person wants to work it out and appreciates my attitude towards it, because she was wrong to do this. But, she also didn't hear where I told her to stick it, so...
