It's so weird, I think Dame has the mentality to rise to the occasion - of everyone on our team he seems best suited for the Playoffs. But I also have serious doubts about him. I think Mo is going to have a better series than Dame. Hopefully that's not the case - if Dame can "break out" then I like our chances of advancing. But if he plays like he has for much of this season, we're going to need a lot of Mo and someone like Robinson to be our "break out" player.

I know most of us already knew this but:

Styles of Rockets-Blazers somewhat similar. There is one big difference. Aldridge took 590 mid-range shots this season. Rockets took 435.

Ouch. And that's why I have very little hope for this series.

I don't like his music, but Lil Wayne thinks Por has what it takes. Video was shot during all star so he might have flip flopped. Thought it was funny though.

The Rockets announcers are the worst homers I've ever heard. By fucking far.

It's not that bad. Lillard for the 24th pick seems fair to me!

There really is nothing more infuriating than watching a game, and hearing the announcers misinterpret the rules, and get the calls wrong so often. I've seen those clowns say _____'s ball when the refs had it signaled the other way numerous times. I see it on my tv why the fuck don't you see it 10 feet away from the ref?

Combing through YouTube I came across this dude "Disabled Sports" who picked the blazers to win, while I don't agree that Houston's bench is as weak as he says I got respect for how much detail he knows about all the teams (he's an impartial source to the best of my knowledge, just loves the game and picked all the matchups).

Vid is a bit long to watch because of his speaking difficulties, but I felt it was worth my time! I definitely think that if our perimeter game is clicking, we will be hard to beat. Only other complaint is that he doesn't seem to know our rotation since he mentions Leonard, but who knows...Meyers might end up seeing time just for fouling purpose.

Basically he thinks players like Mo and Trob can come off the bench and provide a spark. And that our perimeter game, and LA's midrange game will be keys. He thinks Matthews will be able to get hot from behind the arc.

He says that the blazers should turn it into a half court game, which my money is on after hearing everybody talking about stopping transition after their last practice today.

I especially like the point he made about Rolo. Dwight is going to really have to cover ground on the defensive end if he is going to cheat off of robin to help guard LA or switch so that the rockets can guard the perimeter. The potential is there for Rolo to be open up at the rim during this series.

Blazers practicing and focusing on game tomorrow...Dwight Howard fighting with fans about letting parsons drive his Ferrari. Not like its a big deal, just find it funny. Interesting that the blazers aren't on twitter today, they must be 110% locked in, love it!

I thought about that too, Fonzie. If Howard goes to double up on LA and they can make that extra pass, Rolo could have a lot of buckets down low. LA has proven that he can pass out of doubles this year... That could be really interesting.

They came here talking shit about us bringing up refs, now all I see on their game thread is excuses about how it will be Scott fosters fault if they lose.

I guess we have some common ground lol!

Those dumbasses are mad dogging mchale hard for not doubling Aldridge. Do they not do any research themselves? I know, I know, I shouldn't expect any different from the fan base which said that "Aldridge sucks during the playoffs". For real though...please Houston, double LA in game 2!

I was at the game last night (7 row behind Blazers bench) and the refs were HORRIBLE at best to both sides. Aldridge was in BEAST mode last night and I regret throwing up the Hook Em Horns sign to him pre game...he actually threw it back to me.

Anyways, bottom line is Houston let one slip away or some may say Portland took it away. When Aldridge hit the three on Howard I had that moment as a fan when you realize your team is not going to win the game. But we stuck it out till after 1am CST and now anxiouslly await GAME 2.

As the tallking heads always say it's not a series until the opposing team wins one on the road...well I am now confident that this series will now go a minimum of six games. With the Rockets taking the series!

LOL! You really gave LA the pinky and index finger? That's awesome. Repped.

Welcome to S2 and thanks for your insight. It sounds like you have awesome seats. Do you have the same ones for Game Two?

LMA's heart is still in Texas. He doesn't stay here in the summer, so I think you made the right call.

I welcome the disrespect Aldridge gets from other teams. SAS is another team that plays Aldridge "straight up" and they get just as burned. In fact, every team that single covers Aldridge gets burned. OKC is another example.
