Smh, some of the stuff I read from rockets fans really makes me question their attention to the game. I see this guy saying he wants to see Jeremy Lin on Matthews... Really makes me wonder why so many of them are confident that they will sweep. Lin on Matthews is an easy mismatch that would be exploited every time down the floor.

I'm willing to bet none of them knows that Wes has our second best back to the basket game.

Then you've got people saying that dame will rest when beverley does... Because in the playoffs coaches don't take every opportunity to find a mismatch. Beverley is really the only player that can guard Lillard, if bev is on the bench I'm willing to bet Lillard is on the floor at the 2 with mo at the 1.

Ouch. They know how to play defense and have home court advantage. We haven't figured out how to play defense
the whole year. Houston in 5.

As long as Bev doesn't Von-Wafer us, I think we'll be fine. Oh, and if the Zebras don't fuck around too.

One major advantage I foresee is Stotts v McHale.

I think we win this series in 7 with a 1pt overtime game seven win.

I liked Greg Smith the guy they waived for Pittman before they just waived Pittman for this new stiff.

Greg Smith would be a solid reserve for us next year.

He is pretty young too. Solid guy to pick up for those "oh shit Lopez and Freeland are out" moments.

So, what, did they bring in another flop specialist to get our big men in foul trouble?

Smith is better than this guy but he destroyed his knee earlier in the year and it hadn't really improved. We did not want to waive him but we didn't know how he will be in the future and we needed someone in case either Asik or Howard get hurt. If smith comes back healthy he will be a great pickup for Chicago (I think they signed him).

I agree we flop alot (Harden/Lin) but as much as you harp on that I better not see a lot of flopping from your side. :P

First sign of adversity, and I say the Rocket locker room gets divided in these playoffs. They really should have traded Asik away, if it was at all possible. I don't see how that can at all be a united locker room at this point, and I think if the Blazers can make the Rockets stress a bit on the court, it will be exponentially beneficial for the Blazers' chances to win the series.

Asik wanted out but once the deadline passed and he wasn't traded he was a good sport about it and has accepted his role. We did try to trade him but we weren't able to get anyone back in a trade that helped us more than Asik backing up Howard. When neither Asik or Howard are on the floor we have one of the worst defenses in the league. Morey knew that so he had a high asking price.

I really think te reason they have asik still is because they couldn't garner enough interest from teams outside of who they would likely face in the west. The only thing worse than asik not being respected by that orginization is them having to face him in the playoffs when all he wants to do is prove them wrong, Trob style.

The organization does respect Asik. They think very highly of him that's why they had such a high asking price. It's not disrespectful that we were able to get Howard, is there any debate on who is the better center? It is such an advantage to be able to have Asik backing up Howard that's that's why he wasn't traded.

People sell broken shit on eBay for ridiculous prices all the time, it is anything but respectful. You can't value the way a franchise is treating a player based off of their asking price for him..If you guys asked 20 mil for Garcia and only 10 mil for harden you think that means they respect Garcia more?....

I think there really is debate from the sense that Asik cares about the game and gives it 100% while Howard acts like he is too good for his surroundings.

Neither of them feel the way you are describing. It sounds like you are projecting your own feelings about them.

Cool. Thanks for the insight. See? This is why I love opposing fans to visit our site (just stay away from our homer threads where we try to hate the other team ;) ).
