Exactly! Dame has never been inconsistent. That's why I'm concerned. Batum and CJ have never had a streak of good games all season.
Well you guys have fun with it then. Just seems like another way to drag a player through the dirt. Dame knows when he is shooting well and when he isn't. We all watch it and know when he is on or missing a few more than usual. Happens to Aldridge also. James took most of a month off because he was playing bad. Is that what you guys are looking for? Maybe they should shut Lillard down for a bit also?
That's fine then. You keep this thread on the front page so we can all see that Dame had a bad game or not. Last i looked CJ has had about 4 good games in a row. Batum is on his second after the break with a couple before.
Teams are starting to figure out how to pressure the whole team at the perimeter. Dame has been well scouted.
Wtf bro and stop being so fucking defensive! Talk about "gimmie a break". Re-read my original post and stop thinking anything of concern is some bash on a player. The concern is because we need Dame. Simple as that. The question asked was why is this happening? Not "dame sucks, trade him!" Banter from negative nancys. I've been pretty positive about the Blazers and I'm actually labeled a mega homer, so check yourself before you wreck yourself son!
That's what I was thinking as well. I really think he should have ISOs called for him. Stop the pick and roll or pop and let him beat his man. There isn't a player I believe that can stop him. He definitely doesn't need to dribble into help though
The forum here has a tendency to meltdown and look for a scapegoat when we lose two in a row. If we lost three, it seems folks are ready to blow up the team. Patience folks, we'll be just fine
If it isn't Dame it's Nico or Wes or Kaman or LA ...it's gotten really predictable to single out guys and dump blame. It's a team sport. Wes doesn' get much hate but he's been slumping from deep. I know he'll recover. Watch out if Meyers misses a screen or is out of position, the crowd goes nuts. Two teams play a game, one of them loses. Sometimes that's going to be the Blazers.
Um last night's loss wasn't on Dame. He was really the only guy producing. But dame isn't the dame we know. If you are going to call out players for last night's loss, Matthews sticks out mostly
This is exactly my point. There has been a thread made about every player that has a slump period. Sometimes it's not even a slump. It's simply the player they are. Wes does not create shots well. He also doesn't run the break worth a damn. Aldridge could be more aggressive and play more in the paint. Leonard is not a center. CJ is still learning. Wright used to be a great shooter. Where you want to go next?
Oh god, he was putrid. But, NOLA just beat Toronto without AD. No one can sit here and say we couldn't have won that game. That game was winnable. I don't care if we had LA or not.
Look my friend i am as big a homer as any out there. I see all the problems also. I used to have to hide the knives and stay away from bridges after losses. I feel your pain brother.
They most certainly could have and as far as i am concerned with a 13 point lead at home should have won that game. But the one that pissed me off was the Utah game. That was a winnable game for sure!
I just get tired of the excuse "Well we didn't have LA so it was a pipe dream for a win." Well we didn't have LA for the two times we were up double digits. There was literally no excuse for the abhor play in the 4th. Beibs going down to the basesline instead of setting Wes a pick also... little things like that cost us the game. Not because LA was out. We showed we could still do it without him, but we failed.
We've come back to beat teams many many times this season. Teams are going to do that to us as well. Credit to the Jazz and Grizz..they beat us. They earned it. We didn't give those games away. Need to deal with losses with a bit of perspective.
