Tunchi, it wasn't doubting you, it was getting annoyed by your posts. Two different things, friend. Learn the difference.
lets be honest and I want Stotts gone, our "talent" is okay but we have several one trick pony's after Dame/CJ/Nurk - this is a poorly constructed roster on a .500 team that has serious cap issues which is not a great place to be, the GM gets some blame too
Olshey certainly gets some blame. But there are some glaring areas that Stotts is responsible for even given the pieces that Olshey has provided.
I've been a Stotts backer. But that effort against the Nets was unacceptable. I now would not be upset with axing the guy. This team needs a sea change and a shot of adrenaline.
Aminu. Everyone who is masturbating to the idea of firing Stotts and trading CJ is willfully forgetting about Aminu.
You play it out. If the team shits the bed, you try to trade Aminu, Davis & Vonleh as they're expiring/rookie scale contracts. As these are the only players who you must make a decision on this year. You look for an opportunity to move Turner as just like Crabbe he doesn't have an albatross contract like many on this board believe. MM said it best, shocking.... Turner is a player you add to get you over the top. Not a player you add as your climbing the mountain. You could look into replacing the HC during the season. However last time Portland did that they replaced the HC with a guy who wasn't ready to lead a line to recess. I'd rather not see a repeat of that.
Go from where? We are in the SAME place we were at the start of training camp. Nothing has changed. We don’t have a lot of talent......... some including myself sees this team EXACLTY where we thought it would be. No need to go anywhere? Makes some moves or not, this is a .500 team at best.
...can you go write this in the team locker room too? Maybe "bulletin board" material will help earn a few extra wins!
I'd argue it's the same place since 2015. The team took a devastating blow losing two of their top three players for nothing that summer, and tried to replace the losses with condemned league castaways, rejects, and orphans. I'm an Olshey skeptic, but I can't blame him for what he's done since then trying to keep this team competitive. He's dealing with crumbs and expected to make gourmet out of it. It's painfully clear, from my POV, the tank rebuild should have been set into motion immediately that summer. But Olshey was given a directive from Allen to keep the team competitive at the same time. It's just wishful thinking. So, where do we go from here? That's only a question Allen can answer.
The did lose quite a bit with nothing coming but but then again, what did they really lose? LA has done nothing but help the Spurs start to decline, Matthews has been a shell of his former self, and Nic is still Nic...tons of talent that doesn't play up to it most nights. Shot 40% from the field last year.
I do think we have enough talent to play above .500 but right now we don't play even at .500 as team. Yes I know we right at .500 but how long will that last the way we are playing. You got run a offense to player strength and our strength is not the 3 ball right now.
We lost 4 of our 5 starters from a damn good team bro. What they’ve done elsewhere means nothing.......
Yikes - just got back from vacation and saw that we're sitting at 6/6. So much for that easy schedule, huh? Anybody calling for Tater Totts head on a spike yet? If not, let me be the first!
Not sure it means nothing. So we bring Matthews back after his injury. What good would that have done?
Screw Wes, he was hearing CJs footsteps all season anyways. Dame,CJ,Nic,LA,Rolo....... shit! NOW all of your 55 win predictions would be spot on!
