I haven't had a Saturday to spend alone in months. This Saturday will be just that. A bit of housework and errands, then it's football, football, and more football.....culminating with the Ducks/USC game. These types of days generally constitute grilling large amounts of beef on the barbie.....replete with a loaded tater and killer salad. I'm a bad, bad man. Yes I am.
Wouldn't have married her if she wasn't! HA! She's actually a Ute grad and former cheerleader. We were married in Oct, 2001, on the Ducks only loss to Stanford!!! *sometimes I wonder if she roots for the Ducks so heavily just because I'm a grouch if they lose...lol..but, she is a great time at games! She loves Pasadena!
So I did watch the game at a tailgater there. The Stanford parking lot is more of a sparse forest with trees here and there. Friends, BBQ+Deli+truckstop for food options, libations, a great TV setup, and everybody there from kids to grandparents just stoked on the game. I threw some Frisbees and footballs around for a while & got the game buzz without truly missing going inside. When play started we'd hear the stadium roar for a big play 10+ seconds before the ball was snapped on the broadcast. 10+ seconds of guessing/anticipating whether it was an Oregon or Stanford roar first time I've ever watched a game from a tailgater, doubt it's the last. Fun times! STOMP
I will be ducking out of my family beach trip to watch the game if there isnt a decent TV at the beach house
LOL! No thats the week before for the Civil War... strangely all three of those things might be at the same event of this wedding
I'll be at Autzen this Saturday night. It's going to be cold. May have to smuggle in some Fireball smalls to keep the belly warm!
Lucky Bastard! Last time SC came on Halloween the place was electric! I'm pretty bummed to not have attended a game this year
