LOL..I think you guys just got played, like Speedy Claxton played the Hawks. You gave him a contract with a fair amount of money, and he's just gonna sit back and do nothing to earn his money.

I still have hope for him.
By the second half of the season I hope he will find his game again.

He definately wants to play at top level this year to get his money.

Magloire has played 0 minutes for three straight games. We've also won three straight games.
Krstic has played 4 minutes in three games.
You've got to think shortening the big man rotation has had some hand in the 3-game winning streak.

As long as I don't have to see his hook shot attempt (assuming that he catches it first, which is giving him a lot of credit) where he either gets stripped/bounces it off his legs and turns it overor throws it up where it bounces right back off the middle of the backboard without even being close to going in, I'll be much less frustrated watching games.

There's just one simple thing Coach Lawrence Frank should teach Magloire---pass the ball when the shot isn't there.

Magloire is getting beat out by both Willaims and Boone. Good.
He's turning into an expensive insurance policy. That's an improvement over the old plan of having no insurance policy and playing John Thomas against Shaq.

QUOTE (Jizzy)

he could be our Mahorn,. come in and beat ppl up.

lol. "Send in the gooooooooon!"
"No not you Josh!"

anyone notice the shot at the end of the Laker game where the bench was shown celebrating when you can see magloire with a stone cold face just walk toward the tunnel while everyone else congrats each other on a victory. watching magloire is now something i look for everytime a shot of the bench is shown. i wish i could be at the game today but i can't make it so i cannot just focus on what he is doin during timeouts and such. we all know he isnt happy, but you still need to act like you care about the team and at least clap and yell some supportive comments.
i still think magloire is going to get his time to play again, i think he will play tonight vs gasol. if he just doesnt end up fitting before teh trading deadline then his contract could be attractive for someone or we could just keep it and 4mil comes off the books next year which is great. mags play might be disappointing, but his contract is a positive for us. we can either use his expiring deal in a trade or just let him come off the books for next year so i give management credit for only giving him a one year deal.
going to be interesting to see what happens to mags if he cant find his way on this team where you have 3 main unselfish stars who give you the ball, but he just chucks airballs up. will someone give him any type of money next year? if i am magloire im getting nervous and starting to think this could be the begining of the end of my bball career.

Ask, and you shall recieve. Here's Dave D.'s answer to what's been going on with Magloire:

QUOTE

Hey, Dave: I have a question for you that's been dwelling on the Sportstwo message board recently: What's going on with Magloire? Why isn't he playing? Is he in Frank's dog house?
Peg: Frank is one of the few coaches who don't own a dog house, unless the player is a lazy idiot, and they don't have any of those in this group. Cat, who is undeniably a worker, is just the odd man out right now - partly because the game is moving further away from his style, and partly because they're getting everything they need out of the other four bigs. . . .though I admit I was a bit surprised that he didn't get a few minutes against Bynum. Turns out the coach played it just right, and when you look at it, all four guys - Boone, Sean, Malik, and Cameo Collins - did their jobs extremely well during the road trip.

link
