Oh, see I did not think of this... I've got an unused Aldridge jersey (gifted to me at Christmas 6 months before he bolted) and a sharpie... lets do this!

If we crap out on Whiteside. I wouldn't mind with getting Ezeli.

On a side note, every time they mentioned Festus Ezeli during the play offs I thought - This is currently the coolest name in the NBA.

I think of this guy whenever they call his name but most of you folks are too young to remember Gunsmoke

Got really sick a couple of years ago and lived on Gunsmoke for a few weeks. Couldn't figure our if Festus was actually a crotchety old Southern man or an escaped mental patient that had something that passed an accent.

Either 23 people read this as "want to end up with" or 23 people have a lot more faith in Whiteside than I do. I'm not sure he gives us much thought at all. The thing about Howard is that he's coming off of a few pretty bad moves involving different markets (LA and HOU) which I think might make him more likely to go to a "small market" like Portland.

Whiteside is like a puppy, new to the game and everyone is going to be throwing him a bone. He will probably end up going not only wherever he gets the most money, but wherever he thinks he will get the most fame/exposure, which isn't going to be Portland. If you are holding out on Whiteside in order to be happy about how FA goes for us, then you might end up disappointed.

At the same time if Howard goes somewhere that doesn't offer him a good chance of winning (I think Portland is one of the top places for him in that regard) then he's a bullshitter and I don't want him anyways. Feels like a win/win situation regarding his decision.

You talk about your wife the same way that Maris talks about Beautiful Central Oregon.

If I compared my wife to a large chunk of a state she'd be pissed whether I complimented her cans or not.

Getting Howard would be a good move IMO he does all the things we talk about needing a center to do. He doesn't block shots like Whiteside but he still alters shots a lot. He also seems more stable than Whiteside. I have a lot of concerns about Whitesides maturity. I think Dwight gets a bum rap from going to LA then finding out Kobe is about Kobe 1st then Kobe 2nd and 3rd too. Then he goes to Houston and finds the beard is an aloof version of Kobe.

Dwights usg% has dropped each year in Houston while the Beards has gone up. I saw the stat of rebounding percentages brought up earlier. Check this out.

    Whiteside 23%
    Howard 19.9%
    Plumlee 16.3%
    Meyers 13.7%
    Horford 12.4%

If we were to end up with any of the centers mentioned, I would add Bogut to the list for giggles, which of our forwards would you pair them with?

    Howard - Leonard
    Whiteside - Leonard
    Horford - Vonleh
    Biyombo - Leonard
    Bogut - Vonleh
