Tracy McGrady's 13 points in 35 seconds is more impressive. He did it against the Spurs. If you watch all of Kobe's 81 point game, you'll notice no double-teaming, no help-defense, and no intensity on the Raptor's part. San Antonio was trying everything to stop T-Mac, but nothing could stop him.

Kobe is the better player, but T-Mac's performance was waaaay more amazing. If you forgot how good it was, go look up the video, you'll be reminded.

Kobe is a stud for scoring 81. Give him his credit, it's hard as heck, and putting T-Mac or Wade in that situation, I don't know, an NBA team is an NBA team, they still play some D.

T-Mac's performace was crazy, I saw that (i didn't see the Lakers-Raps game live) and he left me speechless and the Spurs. That was exciting, but Kobe Bryant 81 still outshines that. To rack up that many points in a game...wow..

Arguments for other players who could get 81: For T-Mac - 40 pts in a half? okay, that's fine, but he has to replicate that the 2nd half. Whoever said putting Carter, T-Mac, or Wade on the Lakers against the Raptors and they'll get 81, are you serious? Come on now, I'm not a huge Kobe fan, I hated the Lakers dynasty, but Kobe Bryant right now is one of the best players in the NBA right now next to LeBron. Your argument is anyone can get 81 pts, hell the way Barbosa is playing right now, he could get 81, but there's a difference between able to do it and did do it. And Kobe did it. 81 pts, incredible.

Well both players did their thing in one half. Kobe struggled in the first half and his team was actually losing to the Raps. I still go for Kobe's 81. Might be a bias, because I actually watched the performance live. Either way, you can't hold T-Mac's first half against him.

I am as far from being a Kobe fan as there is on the whole forum.

The answer is: 81 in the win over the Raptors

    Don't forget Chamberlain's 100 point effort. . ..
