May I ask why right to a life not born yet is more important than the lives that are already born breathing and suppressed? How does your math value an unborn life more than one that is already living?
Do republicans such as yourself need to hold your own racist members accountable for the active want of suppressing blacks and minorities? Or is that dismissed because they share a right to life view with you?
It's kinda what I implied in my response to you. That said, they cite many other sources in their BLM piece.
Sorry, Lanny. We're going to have to agree to disagree on ABM's support of Trump. He can say all he wants about how Kasich is "his guy" but he bears responsibility for the guy he voted for. If he voted for a racist, he supports a racist.
I didn't say he didn't support Trump. All I did was state a fact which is indisputable, ABM does not find Trump to be his favorite candidate for President. It's a fact that he prefers Kasich and will probably write in his name this November. Yes, he supports a racist but that doesn't mean that he knows Trump to be racist, although I'm not certain of that. I can't abide by knowing racism which he doesn't do.
I voted for Trump in 2016 and will vote for Trump in 2020. A write-in vote is a vote for Biden. Is calling someone a racist potentially a bit pas·sé? I mean the term is being trotted out everywhere! https://www.leftvoice.org/joe-biden-is-a-racist-who-loves-police-brutality
That's not fair. Many people voted for him the first time and wont vote for him again. Maybe they didn't think of him as racist at the time, or didn't know enough, many reasons why. So to say if you voted for someone who was not clearly tied to racism, but then came to light after, doesn't mean they support him. For example, I voted for "x" bill. Then a bunch of amendments were made. The amendments were to protect racists. Does that mean I support racism because I voted for the bill?
It didn't come to light afterwards. His racist history was clearly detailed during the campaign, not the least of which was his discriminatory housing practices against black people, his inflammatory comments about Mexicans and, while not technically racism but rather bigotry, his much-promised Muslim ban. No one was at all confused about the fact that he was a racist and a misogynist. Anyone who voted for Trump knowingly voted for a racist. Not to mention ABM has said he'll be voting for him again in 2020.
To be fair, I said his "favorite racist" candidate for President. I don't consider Kasich a racist. So unless ABM has another racist politician he prefers to Trump, I think my observation was correct!
What does that have to do with what was known in 2016 and voting for him in 2016? In 2016, his rhetoric and history was as a racist and Trump voters voted for that. If you're saying he's changed over the past 4 years, we're going to have to agree to disagree.
