I can't believe I didn't think of this sooner, especially since it's Christmas Day, but the answer to our problems is Steven "JC" Hill.

 

The point is, with all the players out to Covid, we can absorb a lot more player out that are guards than we can up front. Zeller is already out, so we are down to a single player over 6'8". Nurk gets Covid and we are going to need something up front regardless of whether they should see the court or not.

Harry Giles still sitting in the G-League on an affiliate contract, not even getting much run there, but wouldn't he be worth consideration?

 

Good thing we don't have a G-League team with our own coaches, running our own sets. That's type of familiarity would be hurtful.

 

For the people who thought Giles was a legit role player getting the raw end of the deal last year (and in Sacramento), why do you think he's not in the league right now?
