I was rooting for the Lakers in the West but now I'm going to the Clippers. I am torn becuase I am a big Heat fan season tix even when they were getting the third and 5th picks in the draft. Yet I am a ginormous Vince Carter fan, gosh what am I gonna do tonight lol.

I don't find the Spurs boring at all, they play the game the right way and I wish more teams played with the discipline the Spurs have. The basketball IQ on the Spurs is off the charts. Everyone knows their role and no one tries to do more than they can on the court. They move the ball around and are very methodical in their halfcourt sets. Most teams only have one progression, but the Spurs have 4 options everytime they are on offense.

Option 1 starts with Tim Duncan, if it's single coverage he'll take his defender all game long.

Option 2 Duncan gets double team he immediately passes out, and depending on the defense, they re-post Duncan or move the ball around to find a wide open shot.

Option 3 Penetration by Parker, which results in a layup, a trip to the FT line, or a kick out to an open shooter or a Duncan jam.

Option 4 Penetration by Gino, which results in a layup, a trip to the FT line, or a kick out to an open shooter or a Duncan jam.

In every sport teams who build their foundation on defense have success. A consistent defense can keep you in a game when you're struggling offensively.

The Lakers won 3 times against the Suns because of defense, not offense. If you spot the Suns a double digit lead early in the game, you aren't going to beat them, because they can trade baskets with you all game long.

I'm also a huge Carter/Kidd fan so I'm hoping that New Jersey can beat the Heat, then Detroit although I think theirs a slim chance for them beating Detroit
