I'm not "giving up" on Odom. I'm just sick of his inconsistency. As good as we were without him in the 4th last night, we need him to win this series. If pulls a disappearing act for too much longer, we're not going to win this series.
Is there a possiblity the Lakers can do a sign and trad for Arenas. We sign Odom+Vladman for Arenas? I value Bynum more.
^^ agreed. Kobe and him would take too many shots to have a balanced offense. Kobe is the creater for the Lakers and is more effective at scoring than Arenas. Odom can play PF, Arenas can`t. Anyway, I think for the Finals they would love to have a healthy Bynum right now. The Lakers would have that inside shotblocking presence and I think the easy baskets and foul shots would be reduced with Bynum around. As well the easy baskets that Bynum gets, and alley-oops, whatever it is. Also because the Lakers are shooting a lot of 3s and jumpers, Bynum would help stretch the floor, if they doubled him, Fisher or Farmer or Vujacic or Radman or Kobe would get a more open look.
The only real reason we're chucking up a lot of threes is because we're getting in a deep hole. If we stay out of a deep hole, I guarantee the three attempts would go down. If I remember right, Phil hates his teams shooting a lot of threes anyways.

There's only one ball, and I don't think his and Kobe's ego can co-exist.</div> Agreed, Odom gives us great insurance for when Bynum goes down. He's familiar with the system plus normally has nice chemistry with the other guys.
