Chris Duhon signed an extension with the Bulls, he's not a free agent anymore.

    Really...

You guys should go after Peja. He would be an excellent shooter next to Kobe. His shooting could add to the triangle because of the spacing opportunities he would create.

yeah, i want peja too, but i dont know if we should give him big bucks. also, if we sign peja, what would our starting line up look like? we will most likely have to move odom to the power forward position, but doesnt he struggle there?

Sam Cassell-Veteran playmaker who kobe could benefit from.
Chris Wilcox-Exciting big man who can pair with Kwame to do damage.
Kareem Rush-A good shooter who has progressed with the Bobcats.
Jacque Vaughn-A good veteran point who can come off the bench.
Jarron Collins-Look at what his twin brother is doing to Shaq in the Nets series.
Tim Thomas-Killed the Lakers 2nd round hopes.
Nazr Mohammed-Good center who can be help for Mihm and Kwame.

My starting 5 for next year:
    PG-Sam Cassell
    SG-Kobe Bryant
    SF-Lamar Odom
    PF-Kwame Brown
    C-Chris Mihm/Nazr Mohammed/Jarron Collins

Nick Van Exel would be nice. I really wouldn't mind Peja....That would be one hell of an attack...Kobe, Odom, and Peja.....boy would that be great!

Oh man who I would freakin love in the purple and gold would be Steve Francis. If he played like his Houston days I would go crazy! He would need some work and bonding with Kobe but could you immagine it? Kobe, Lamar, and Stevie!? I'd go crazy!

We don't need to make big changes if we can't get KG or JO. I'm hoping we can get Jason Terry for the MLE and Reggie Evans some how. Kaman might want to take out a restraining order if Evans is living in the same town as him.

    PG - Terry
    SG - Kobe
    SF - Odom
    PF - Evans
    C - Kwame

That's a solid defensive unit and Kobe, Terry, and Odom is a solid offensive punch.

evans would be nice IMO. the guy is tough and will bring it night in and night out on defense. he crashes boards with the best of them and isnt afraid of contact. i just wonder what kaman would think knowing reggie is in the locker room right down the hall.

I don't think Phil Jackson likes Van Exel's play and NVE has a sour relationship with Laker management now. Van Exel left the Laker's on a pretty bad note. I think defense is the prime goal right now, find some defensive stoppers.

The list of free-agent guards who might be in the Lakers' price range includes Marcus Banks, Sam Cassell, Speedy Claxton and Bobby Jackson. The list of big men includes Melvin Ely, Reggie Evans, Al Harrington, Nazr Mohammed and Lorenzen Wright.

These guys are the ones I think we should be going after. I would say NVE again but apparently he left on a bad note yadda yadda.

In order, the PG's I'd want: Sam Cassell, Speedy Claxton, or Marcus Banks.

Bobby Jackson is way too injury prone for my liking. Knowing our history with the MLE lately, I'll pass.
