Right, but you can't compare players of different races, and there are only so many white guys to chose from.

Honestly, he reminds me a little bit like McHale. At least with his footwork.

He's not there yet - McHale practically invented the step through. And they definitely have different body shapes. McHale was all arms and legs and lumbered. Zach looks fairly normally proportioned, and is athletic. He's more like a taller Chandler Parsons.

That's who the espn guys compared him to on draft night. I'd be cool with that haha

Not saying he will ever be that good, but McHale is definitely the one one he reminds me of most.

Kevin McHale was a senior in college, Zach would be a Junior now.

To answer the OP, I wouldn't say Chambers.

    Chambers had no D.

I'm comparing his skillset to a raw Pau Gasol.

    That's actually a GREAT comparison!

Though AK had a much better handle than Zach.

    Meh...

    TT has always been SOFT.

Zach has sharp edges. I love that.

Zach is a MUCH better defense than TT will ever be.

Zach's defense is what LMA's defense was SUPPOSED to be. He was a really good defender in college. He just stopped trying in the pros.

Did anyone respond on my Laimbeer comparison suggestion? They were both tough defensively and could hit the three.

The first two years in the league KG was on the floor more times than up. That guy was the floppingist player outside of Lambeer. It was before the flopping rule era.

Actually now that I recall he fell a lot while trying to back a guy down and they would back off quick. He'd loose his balance and down he'd go. He was super young!
