If we were to list a three-deep rotation, based not on what I want or their ability, but based on what Stotts has done this preseason, I think it looks like this: PG: Dame, Blake, Barton SG: Wes, CJ, Crabbe SF: Nic, Wright, Claver PF: LA, MyLe, TRob C: Lopez, Kaman, Freeland Looking at that, it appears that SF is our weakest position overall, and that TRob is our highest-paid third stringer. Looking at it this way, a TRob for Green trade (as discussed in another thread) makes total sense for us, as it would push Wright to third string and shift Claver to third string PF (his correct position).
I never would have guessed that Leonards play would make T-Rob tradable. I understand that Kaman has played a role in that too but still. And I like TRob and hate the idea of seeing him go through another trade but its shaping up to make the most sense. But I wonder what an injury would do to that whole thought process?
This is the value of the mental game. Leonard is a absolute encyclopedia when it comes to study. He is also one of the hardest workers on the team. He is taking after Wes and Freeland. Trob is depending on athletic ability alone and it can only take him so far.

Might make sense for us but makes none for the Suns. Morris twins, TJ Warren, Anthony Tolliver... They already have players who are exactly like T-Rob.
I remember someone, maybe Casey interviewing TRob at the beginning of summer league asking him what he worked on in the offseason and he said....nothing, I've always been able to play my game. I'm going to play my game. That was a flag for me.
And "playing his game" has taken him to three teams so far. I wonder if the light will eventually go on for him. It's not like he's Beasley, who is a genuine space cadet, but there do seem to be hard headed types who seem incapable of change because they don't think they need to. Like JR Smith, for example.
I think TRob will come around and mature into a great player but he needs be coachable or he'll play for a lot of teams and not stick
He never said that. He said he didn't work on his rebounding because it's a part of his game. Said he worked on everything else.
He did say that, he also talked about playing pick up and playing ball. I'll try and find a link for it. I'm sure he gave a few interviews. I remember he said he was riding a mountain bike alot.Getting to know Portland. Dont' get me wrong, I think he's an asset and will be a great player but I'm not sure he's that coachable. Then again, neither was Gerald Wallace or JJ Hickson
well if he really did say that, then that contradicts what he said in the interview I saw where he mentioned numerous things he was working on. We'll see what happens. Still have hope for him and there will be games where his energy will be vital.
