No, the Suns could not have beaten the Spurs, if Marbury was so threatning why were they the 8th seed. They will be better next year, but theres no way they could have beaten the Spurs this year.

the suns were the 8th sed because all of the other teams won more games than them but they were still good enough to beat almost any east team. but perhaps not the spurs

the suns wouldve been probably 5th or 6th in the east, they arent better than nj, det, philly possibly, indiana if playing halfway well, and n.o. if they were all healthy. but of course if the suns couldve somehow traded for antoine walker they woulda been a shoo-in for the title in either the east or west.

when r u gonna shut up about antoine walker? i never said he was an MVP. im as crcitcial of him as anyone when he plays stupid but i know an allstarplayer when i see him. and the suns with stephon, marion and stodemire youd ccertainly have to favor in any series in the east. Stephon could at least give kidd aa fight. marion would humiliate richard jeffrson and amare would dominate kenyon martin.

ok even if that were true collins would dominate scott williams or tskalidas, 2 great centers huh, and penny would be hurt, johnson is inexperienced so kittles would dominate that matchup. and marion and amare arent better than martin and jefferson. of course a better matchup would be to see antoine walker play either team one on 5 and destroy them like only antoine walker can do.

dude. this antione thing is getting really annoying. go instant message him about it or whatever.

suns would probably be one of the top 3 seeds in the east. they'd kill every team on the boards

The reason they were the 8th seed was because of injury to penny hardaway..he was key to their team this year..the record with him was great and without him they struggled. They were like a 5th seed when penny got injuried so therefore they dropped down.

i dont believe that at all. maybe they happened to win more games when penny was in but hes very overrated and only helps them with his expereience and leadership. without him . steph, marion and amare whould still have enough to beat the nets or anyone in the east including mvp antoine walker asnd the celtics [IMG]

Ask any suns fan if it is the case or not..they struggled big time without him.He was that other player that could score abit, rebound and pass the ball well...they were the 5th seed with him and drop to the 8th without him...that tells you alot.Penny may be overrated and didn't live up to his poteinal but he is a damn important player to their team now if they want to win...

He had his value but they just struggled all together in dropping to the 8th seed. not to mention that its not their fault all the other teams made big runs. the big 3 showed that their capable of giving the spurs a run for their money you rrrrrrrreally think they wouldnt have had a chancce against a one man show like new jersey? I do agree with you....suns would likely beat the nets.....but just saying penny is very important to their team.

Alot of people say if Marbury hadn't of injuried his shoulder late on in the series..it would of gone to 7 games...and to be honest i think it would of done.He just couldn't shoot in game 6..he was hurting...spurs got the job done...as soon as the suns were beaten i knew this team would go to the finals...as the suns give the spurs most trouble out of all the NBA teams..believe it or not.Scary thing is they are going to get better...
