When asking this question. Toughness could mean different things. When you are talking about size, strength and being brute. I think you have to give it to TRob and Robin Lopez.

But I look at toughness differently. When I read this question, my mind gravitated to the idea of who was the most mentally tough on the team. And there isn't anyone any tougher than Wes Matthews. You put Wes Matthews in a 6-10, 250 body you have some kind of player.

Without thinking hard about it instantly put Mathews on top. He is the heart of this Blazers team and has been for years and next I'd put Lillard because he seems to constantly have ice water running through his veins.
After putting more thought into it I'd actually put LA as the toughest and that has a lot to do with the GSW brawl where LA immediately came in and looked as if he was going to knock Bogut out. Also taking a look at LAs wierd Hulk like tendencies he is the guy who you fuck with once and never fuck with again.

Lopez may be a nice, goofy guy as a person, but I highly doubt that's how he's viewed as a player. He's one tough cookie out there, and he definitely intimidates people.

Robin Lopez - and it's not even close. Ever wonder why there aren't any videos of Robin getting into it a scuffle with other players? Who in their right mind would fight that guy?

When Robin Lopez glares, you walk backwards very slowly without making any sudden movements.

When Robin Lopez points, people move out smartly in that general direction. (2:15 mark - Ariza is saved by his teammates)

The Blazers tried selling Robin Lopez toilet paper in the fan shop, but it was discontinued because it wouldn't take shit off anybody.

Robin Lopez doesn't wear a watch. He decides what time it is.

Sasquatch does exist. It just knows better than to show its face with Robin Lopez in town.

Robin Lopez once kicked Detroit's mascot in the chin. The mascot is now referred to as Hooper the Giraffe.

This is the game that Olshey and Stotts watched when they became sold on RoLo. Clearly, they were looking ahead to the NBA finals.

All great choices but I'm going with Nic Batum, he doesn't mess around trading punches, just one well place punch where it counts ends any confrontation. Efficient toughness

Is that something he should be proud about during the Olympics? LOL!

I think it's why Claver is out of the rotation, he can't keep his hands up guarding Nico during practice

Any changes to your answers now that we're encountering some adversity?

I think Dame is fighting up to the forefront. Wish we had someone else though.

I still think we just don't play dirty enough to be a championship team. You gotta have some serious junkyard dog scrap. I feel we play to much finesse ball. We'll see though! But last night's game should have been won.

Dame, trob, and Lopez. I love when dame gets pissed at refs and posterizes someone out of frustration

When a guy Mo's size takes one for the team against a guy like Bogut...he made a case for the title here. I always would have said Wes but TRob is closing in and Rolo is no slouch.

My vote is for Lillard and if that does not work then it goes to Lillard's posse

I say Lillard but Freeland is also a tough dude.

I think TRob is like a Mac Truck when he plants his feet...that guy is a wall, pt guards bounce off him. Give TRob some seasoning and he's going to frighten some folks.

After reading the Wes thread where he answers our questions, I have to put Earl Watson in contention for toughest. I can see that!
