I would say VC but he seems like he doesnt dunk as much probally because he knows he soo injury prone but now I would J-rich or D-Mason

Quoting Purple N Gold:

Who's the best dunker? Which team has the best jerseys? Who has the best hair? Who has the best shoes? Which NBA player has the best house? Which player looks the best? Who's better, T-Mac or Kobe? Who's better KG or TD? Who's the best player at each position? Who has the best cheerleaders? Ok, now to get back on topic. Might as well made this a poll, it can only be 4 players. J-Rich, Mason, LeBron, VC(for you Raptor fans)
J-Rich, Phoenix Suns, Ben Wallace, Vince Carter, Shaq, Sam Cassel, T-Mac, Duncan, too lazy to list, Miami heat.... Oh, you were being sarcastic . But back to the original topic, as it stands right now, J-Rich is without a doubt the best dunker in the league. If Vince was 100% healthy and at full energy, I think it would be a toss up. It's funny how no one mentioned Fred Jones, just goes to show how much a sham that joke of a dunk contest was.
VC is done for dunking guys, and you can't deny it. Whoever still has faith in him... he said it himself he's not Vinsanity anymore and won't be able to do those showstopping dunks anymore... So I'd have to say JRich, Desmond... McGrady, Franchise... too many...
J-Rich LJames and DMase no doubt.
here goes everybody with their entire list of great dunkers in the nba. *sigh*. made it this far in the thread, and nobody mentioned freddie jones? tsk tsk. come on, you all must remember the oregon days when ever other play was a pass from either jackson/ridnour to freddie for an alley oop. what a squad they had that year. while i do think freddie jones is high a top my list.. #1 = desmond mason. he had a dunk over someone this year.. that's still in my head, coming from the right wing, but i forgot who he posterized.
Just because Vince isn't dunking as much recently doesn't make him any worse of a dunker. Quality over quantity, we all know what Vince is capable of. DMase is one of my top 5 favorite players but he is not even close to VC's skill level. JRich is close but I think he is a weaker VC clone. Bron looks like he has potential to top VC but I haven't seen it yet.
I am biased, but I would say Jrich. Lebron throws it down with authority so he #2. I have not seen enough of Desmond Mason to add him yet. I like Jrich because he blends finesse, creativity, and power in his dunks. Lebron is a power dunker. VC was one of the best but he is not currently anymore. We are not talking about used to be's or else you would have to bring up names like MJ, Dominique, ect.

I would like to thank DMASE for posterizing Lamond Murray. VC is the best in the L. If you were to put a bunch of the best players in the dunk contest he would win. He has some dunks nobody has ever seen or imagined of. Oh and don't forget about the Matrix. He isn't the best in the L but he sure does fly.
Ya'll cats really need to do a forum search before you start topics..they a ton of best dunkers..most powerful dunkers...threads. Need to take the time and do the work to find 'em.
you all gotta consider dwyane, kmart, stroswift and kob8 (where's he in dunk discussion?) too... but the best would be jason richardson
Kobe is more of a in game dunker and he only gets high on good days. Oh and did y'all see the layup he did in the all star game!!

Quoting AirJordan:

Kobe is more of a in game dunker and he only gets high on good days. have any of you EVER seen Gerald Wallace dunk?? he dunked from nearly the freethrow line in one game and then did a 360 after he dunked basically. It was amazing. If he could get a jumpshot he would play more, and therefore dunk more. but since he doesn't play a lot its jrich, off the backboard through the legs is the end of the conversation.
Dan Gadzuric of the Milwaukee Bucks has the best dunks. They're always amazing. I haven't seen a bad dunk from him yet. He gets at least 2 thunderous dunks per game. Kukoc always gives him those feeds and he flies to the basket like no one else. He's the "Flying Dutchman" for a reason. He never misses an alley oop pass and never bricks a dunk, and even D. Mase can't say that! He defies gravity on a nightly basis. Too bad the media won't cover it. ESPN only shows them every now and then.
