Wes Welker over Steve Smith? Is that just because you're a Welker fan or do you really think that?

Yeah because it was an intense competitive practice and both guy were jawing. It ended up bring the team closer rather than driving them apart like TO talking shit to the media about Romo. Steve Smith the only guy on the list that can turn a screen pass into a TD, while the other guys always have to go deep and use their size, another thing Smitty does phenomenally for his size. If Smitty had a good CONSISTENT QB, he'd be just as good as anyone else would be on the list.

Well that's because of Lucas, not Smith. It took a lot of character on his part to turn the other cheek and make amends, for the sake of the team. Steve Smith has always had problems with temper. He's not a locker room cancer, but he's also not some sort of saint either. If he their positions were reversed, I doubt the Panthers would have come out of that incident as strong as they did.

But teammates also realize when a guy is competitive, and they respect that. That was a reason Lucas forgave him and they moved on. Look what happened to Burress with the gun incident, or Chad Johnson changing his name, hell even TO always calling out his QB in public, teammates already don't respect these guys as much and then these kind of incidents make these players into locker room cancers. Smitty is a guy that goes out there every week wanting to win, what competitor wouldn't get frustrated when things aren't going your way. The difference between Smitty and other guys IMO is that Smitty just wants to win, while some these other guys are all about themselves. BasX compared him to TO in terms of problem making just because of that one incident. Smith is probably the best WR pound for pound in the NFL, no doubt about that, but the fact that's he's only 5'9" always throws him out of the argument as the best WR overall.
