I would be down for it as long as 2pac and Biggie aren't in the tournament, lol

Do you know who I think the most underated MC of all time is? Black Thought, hands down.

Thought is really underrated....... when looking at the roots catalogue I'd say he's a candidate for "at least" a top 20 MC slot.

They're not the greatest imo, just hyped too much.

I'd put him in the top 10 even. He definatley makes my personal top 10.

I always say this, some dude left him out of his top 50 and I was going nuts! He had guys like bun b in there and leaves out black thought what a chump.

I think Nas should be mentioned he is most consistent yeh he has a few weak tracks but who doesn't

    is Jigga in there?

    BIG def

I haven't listened to enough Rakim or KRS to put them in

Big Pun was pretty sick too

Early Jay-Z was pretty sick, I'd say back then he was even better than Nas. I'm talking like way back in the day, before he released 'Reasonable Doubt' even.

He was mainly doing guest spots, but man, he could he spit some hot sh*t.

Stuff like "Da Graveyard", "Show & Prove", "Stretch & Bobbito '95 Pt. I & II" etc.

Sometimes Jay-Z got annoying like in the 7 Minute Freestlye with Big L. Maybe it's because Big L totally outshined him, but I just wasn't really feeling Jay-Z that much, especially the whole "bigitty-bam, biggity-bam, biggity-bam!" thing. I know it's a freestlye but still.

Yeah I know what you mean, that part did get reather annoying, but my point stands, his delivery back then was sick. I dont know what happened, he pretty much lost it as soon as he dropped 'Reasonable Doubt', and I'm not saying that was a bad album or that he was a bad emcee when that album dropped, but I feel as though he didnt deliver like he did on those guest spots.

For some reason I personally don't see the greatness in Rakim...from what I understand I acknowledge what he has done for hip hop...but like I said I listen I'm not making the connection. Like Paid in Full...it just doesn't seem like a great album to me, granted I've only gave it a few spins all of Ra's song are just rapping about rapping....Dream or somebody needs to school me on him...maybe I'm just missing something.

I will say that mainly he is a MC who raps about MCing and what it means to him, but he has times where he slips knowledge in some of his songs...and he's made songs about other topics also.....if you weren't alive during that time period or if you don't like rap music from the late 80's and early 90's then I could see why you wouldn't enjoy the album.....but you have to think about the times when judging the quality of the album...personally I always loved it, the bass in My Melody can still bang in your car, and Ra's flow is so smooth making for an easy listen....
