So what you are saying is that even MikeDC could not pimp Danny Crane's ride, so they had to hire someone else?
based on the avatar picture, I recommend starting with option A (left) moving on to option B (right) returning briefly to option A before heading south.
I had a feeling your presence will be felt in this thread once your picture was used, probably without permission.
Actually, we tried to conference in MikeDc but his voice mail said he couldn't come to the phone because his pimp was riding him.
Yes, sir. I became a basketball fan watching the 1979 NCAA finals (Magic, Michigan State/Larry, Indiana State). I was in middle school. Around that time, my dad took to to St. Joe's HS to watch Isiah Thomas play. My first NBA experience was going to my local public high school (I was a freshman at a Catholic college prep school) to watch a preseason Bulls/Golden State game. That was 1980 and the fact that a Bulls game played in a high school gym, even preseason, should tell you about the state of the league. It was cool though, because you could wander about and I stood at the sidelines next to the players and it was pretty amazing to see how tall and how skinny the guys were. That was Lyons Township HS gym and I went there over the next few years watching my cousin play a year behind this skinny kid named Jeff Hornacek. So anyway, yes, I am a Bulls fan. I was a pre-Jordan, suffering Bulls fan and became a complete die-hard once MJ arrived and never lost a minute of allegiance in all the years since then. Of the teams the Bulls played in the Finals, I pretty much hated the Jazz, as I considered Malone to be a felon in a basketball uniform. The other teams the Bulls faced, I was glad we beat them but respected the teams. Sonics, Suns, Lakers...all great teams. But I think I liked that Blazers team the most. So much talent. So much class and grace. Clyde was one of my favorite players ever. Phi Slama Jama. Duck, Cliff, Kersey, Porter. (Sorry, never did like Ainge, no matter what team he was on). But a great organization at that point. and Portland is still a class A behind the scenes organization. A few years ago I had a colleague who had a son with a brain tumor. I used what NBA connections I had and contacted PR departments looking for hats, etc., to boost the kid's spirits. The Blazers are the team that came through the biggest, with an autographed hat, an autographed Rip City mag, and a whole box of trinkets. I got responses from some other teams but even the home town Bulls didn't give as much. I was really impressed with the way they reached out to help.
Glad the Blazers helped like they did. It's the little things like that which help cement a lifelong relationship with a team.
