If we are talking truly end of the bench players. Back in the day I kind of digged Carlos Rogers. He was not a good player, but he was a nut. Big time bowler. Another guy who was kind of fun was Alaa Abdelnaby. He was at the end of the bench during the early 90 teams and I remember him just being an emotional guy during some of those series. You would see his facial expressions on the bench that almost mirrored my reactions. Others named above -- thought John Crotty was cool and of course Patty Mills, but Patty could actually ball.
Whoever wasn't grossly over-rated by the fan base. Probably Ha Seung-jin. Yup, that's my final answer. The mental image of him chasing and trying to beat Ruben Patterson (?) with a broomstick make him far-and-away my favorite end-of-bench Blazer.
Drazen Petrovic. Great shooter. Mark Bryant. He was tough and you could depend on him for some hard fouls!
"Fun little tangent: Ha Seung-Jin and Slavko Vranes were both on the Jail Blazers in their heydays, and at one point got into a confrontation that culminated in Seung-Jin chasing Slavko around the facility with a stick. Ha got the last laugh with more playing time. I'm glad those days of the Blazers are over."
I always thought of Monia as a 2, while Khryapa was the 3. But that takes me back! "No Viktor... No Viktoreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"
Huh! Totally mis-remembered the details! I thought Ha went after a rotation player. Either way, Ha remains my favorite end-of-bench Blazer.
Love that dude. Antonio Harvey nicknamed hims "Little Bit." Because he was a little bit crazy, lol...
Patty Mills. My best friend keeps a mental note of players we have gave up on and then brings it up during a game. Thanks, bro!
They were end of bench players? Not that I remember. Bryant was Ducks backup and Drazen was dubbed as a potential future star who got lots of minutes I thought?
Drazen was 9th in minutes played during his first season with the Blazers, and 13th during his partial second season before he was traded to the Nets. Bryant's first 5 seasons with the Blazers: 1st season: 10th in minutes played 2nd season: 10th in minutes played 3rd season: 9th in minutes played 4th season: 10th in minutes played 5th season: 9th in minutes played
