But, he would really slow them down. All he is is just a rebounder and hes good at blocking shots. He isn't a scorer at all. All he can do with the ball is just do dunks and lay ups.</div> Exactly, and that's what Phoenix needs: a big man that can run the floor, play defense, is athletic, and hustles. And yes, he can finish plays with easy set-ups from Nash. There has to be a point where Phoenix actually acquires a person that doesn't need 8-10 shots a game to be effective. Loading on a bunch of offensive players really isn't the way to go, they need some defense.
Joakim Noah..he's a hustle guy and can bring energy/impact to the team and not be required to score double digits PG...he's a very solid defender and rebounder...he would be perfect off the bench in the Suns system..he would I think be able to have enough of an impact to take them to that next level of greatness..he may not be the most skilled player in the draft by any means but this guy would be perfect for Phoenix just for the energy and hustle he brings to the game

The problem with Noah is that his defense is no where near good enough to off set the liabilites he would bring to the offense. It isn't about getting x amount of shots or points but rather to keep the spacing of the offense intact to allow Nash do whatever he wants in the paint.
Why don't some of you just admit that you don't know everything about the Suns and just take what the Suns fans are saying. I'd expect them to know what the Suns need....not some Celtics fans. ASUFan and Diawesome have already explained D'Antoni's style and what he needs and have said over and over again that Noah wouldn't fit the team...and you guys continually just keep saying Noah is the best guy....L-I-S-T-E-N.
So I can't post in this thread because I'm not a Suns fan? Ignorant. So I guess everybody should just stop discussing other teams and strictly post in our teams' sections leaving the General NBA Discussion completely empty of discussion..EDIT: And SteveNash4MVP said Noah is a PG...hmm Suns fans your right you already have a PG you don't need Noah..and yeah of course the Suns fans know their own system better than other fans but if people are so mad that other fans are posting their opinions why isn't this just moved to the Suns section? Seriously..
I respect all the Suns fans except for S2S for known reasons. I just don't understand why I am not allowed to have an opinion this matter just because I'm not a Suns fan. I think Noah will fit into the Suns well and improve them (not that they need THAT much improvement). He's a very solid defender and rebounder. The Suns don't NEED an impact player and they don't NEED another scorer. They need somebody who hustles on both ends of the floor and can help balance that fast break system. Sorry if you disagree but I can have my opinion.
I don't have a problem with it. BCB's just pointing out that it's 2 Suns fans saying he won't fit in and 2 Celts fans saying he will.I'm not saying we need another scorer, but go back to what Diawsome said about spacing. The team needs a player who has at least an ounce of offensive skill. We don't need to forget about offense to improve our D. Horford actually is a better player than Noah, and I think he'll be a better defender in the pro's. He also has that mid-range jumper so our offense will still work and he won't clog the lane and limit Amare's room. And our offense does fine with an old feller like Kurt Thomas trying to run, last year we led the offense in PPG and our offense was very efficient with even him on the floor. I don't see why a younger player couldn't run the floor and it's not like we ever have 5 people running a fast break. There's always a rebounder that starts it all and Horford will help with rebounding. Horford, imo, will be quite a bit better than Noah in the pros and will fit in fine. I see Noah as a wasted pick. He may be a better version of Varajao, but he won't get any playing time at all with this team. Not until Nash retires and D'Antoni goes with him.
I hope they take the overrated Noah just in case our gm here in Philly Billy King likes him and is thinking about taking him I hate this guy.

I figured Noah made the most sense considering his skills but after I read what ASU and Diaw said I changed my mind...because I didn't know D'Antoni benched players that didn't do well offensively and I didn't know that the Suns needed good shooters to create space needed for the offense to work....
David Griffin was on the radio a couple days ago saying the in order to be a part of D'Antoni's rotation the guy will have to play multiple positions and do a lot of different things to warrant the playing time which seems to eliminate Noah & Horford because of versatility and Jianlian because he isn't ready to contribute immediately. That would basically leave three options available; Brandan Wright, Corey Brewer or trading down.
I think they may want to look at Conley Jr.. Now I'm not saying they should draft him, but he would make a good backup to Nash.
I still think that they would take Horford if Wright is not available. They keep Kurt Thomas around and give him playing time. I'm sure they'd like to have a guy that could do the same type of stuff at a lower price. Multiple positions....C,PF??? Most of the team could really only play two positions like that.

Maybe if they trade down a little and try to get rid of some extra, unused salary, like Banks if anyone would take him with the pick. Conley could be pretty good after learning from Nash.
