I'm with mags on the psychedelic issue. An experimenting can open one up to view the world through an egoless lens. Too much and you can become kooky. Most people who have never done any cant understand the beneficial aspects. But right now there are labs exploring the beneficial use in dealing with PTSD and with severing opiate addiction. There have also been studies showing limited use can have a positive effect on long term happiness.

 

Socially yes, and I'm aware of what alcohol can do to the body as well. And I'd never tell someone who has never had alcohol, "Obviously you know about as much as a stump in the ground about how much it can alter your perception. Also; you have no idea how it can open your mind either."

Anyways, are you comparing alcohol to psychedlics? You might as well compare caffeine too while you're at it.

Of course you compare caffeine to alcohol because you drink. And you should be aware that drinking severely alters your judgement, behavior and memory.

So when you post in this forum drinking; do you admit you are addled?

 

Where did that come from? You say how drugs alter your brain as a fact; and I explained that science can monitor how love alters your brain. Neither can actually monitor what an individual feels unless that individuals explain it.

All perception. And when one doesn't have the perception and only go with what they read; they are neither in love or having any credibility on effects of anything an individual sees, hears or feels unless they do it themselves.

I'm sorry, but are you seriously comparing love to drugs? I'm aware that scientists are learning about the chemical processes that happen when you fall in love. But I think the negative impact that drugs can have on a brain are a little worse than prolonged love-use...

Nobody's doubting you felt something when you used psychs. And nobody's doubting you feel it was profound. That really has never been the discussion.

Why any of this makes you feel the need to judge me and say, "it can't tell you how you can fall in love. Obviously only experience will give you true understanding.
