And 6'7" may be generous. But, he's one one the smartest defenders I've ever seen and has really strong, quick hands. Lma can certainly post up but then he'd be going against bogut. Lillard is the guy I'm scared of. Aldridge will get his points, but I think Lillard will win or lose the game for you.
Watch out for Batum too. He has been amazing the last couple of weeks. CONSISTENCY. That's all we've asked, and we've been finally getting it. Adding that to Afflalo, we are a tough matchup for a team. That being said, I'm still nervous facing you guys. I was at the game last year in the Rose Garden in that thriller where Curry was going off.
Exactly. The refs jobbed us. That is why we won't sweep GS. There's bound to be a game we get screwed. We'll win in 5.
Really, guy? I've been nothing but respectful in these threads, so what's your problem? How about talking about basketball instead of bullshit hyperbole (go ahead, get a dictionary). You said a player can't be stopped by a particular team, I asked why. I'm actually to hear about the game from fans who know their team. I wanted to know if he does something particularly well that the w's can't defend. Maybe the Blazers run their offense through Aldridge and he's more than just his stats. How about some actual content to your posts? Green is undersized, slow, not athletic, and has an average wingspan yet leads the league in defensive rating; how do you think that is possible?
Maybe because he's a good, smart, heady player? Don't mind Kingspeed... We love him here, but his hyperbole is strong.
You said Green is one of the best defensive players you've ever seen. That suggests you're young and haven't watched much basketball. That wasn't an insult. It was a question. If you're 12, it makes sense that Green is one of the best defensive players YOU have ever seen. But if you're 40 like me, it's a ridiculous statement.
Wrong. He said Green was one of the smartest defenders. He backs his argument with facts instead of insults. Learn the game then post.
What makes you think this? What happens if Green is on him at half court and Fropez is on the other side of the key? Aldridge then goes to the post and then there's the mismatch.
You've got a good grasp of the game. Let LMA get his, but bottle up Lillard, and you've got a great chance at beating us. But then, you probably won't even see us in the POs anyway as it's essentially impossible for us to fall into a 1/8 seed or 2/7 seed battle.
This is exactly why Wes was so important. A common strategy to beat us was exactly as you say, let Aldridge get his and bottle up Lillard. But having Wes with such a quick deep and prolific 3ball, it made that strategy very hard since it's usually the SG helping over onto Lillard. If we are to go deep, Batum and AA need to pick up the slack and make teams pay for sending too many men at Lillard.
