To put things in their proper context, at the time, when she was DA, exactly whose policies DID align with "BLM"? The fact is that Kamala's term as DA ended in 2011...and the term "black lives matter" did not appear till 2013 with George Zimmerman's faux pas.
These things will come out in the debates. Let Biden select her, and everything will be brought up. Antifa-leaning accounts paint her as a "cop". Kamala Harris has a complicated record as California DA. At some points she assisted the police, at other times she was adversarial. The police union actually opposed at least one of her runs, so she can hardly be cast as a police darling. Whether the hardest of hardcore BLM participants will vote for her, who knows. Whether they do or not won't swing the election. The vast majority of progressives and black lives advocates would both happily vote for her over essentially any Republican, because she's far likelier to advocate for positive criminal justice reform than any Republican, and also happily put pressure on her once she's in office. The revulsion for Trump is just an added bonus to motivation.
