Kamala Harris is awful. So of course it wouldn't be a surprise if she was the choice.
I have never heard a white male politician attacked for being ambitious.
I'm now going with Susan Rice.
No, zero chance of that.
Maybe Michele Obama has had a change of heart?
The dems are looking at the next 8-12 years, so they need a VP candidate that can run successfully in 4 years. The week or two delay is interesting.
I think the chances of that are pretty close to 0.
My guess it that it's between four women: Harris, Abrams, Demmings and Karen Bass. Keisha Lance Bottoms would be my dark horse, but those four are my front runners.
Why she gotta be your dark horse??
I think it's going to be Karen Bass....second option would be Susan Rice....I think Harris will get the AG position held by Barr today and Rice or Warren will probably be Secretary of State
It should be obvious if you look at her:
Black clothes = easy but lazy "dark horse" label.
She looks nothing like a horse. She's a beautiful woman, you misogynistic pig!
I can't be a misogynist, I'm a Democrat.
You troll me, I troll this entire forum.
I'm not racist, I have black friends!
(I wonder how many people reading this will think I'm actually being serious about this)
You don't thing Rice is in the top 4? If not why?
Don't worry, no one thinks you have friends.
Does Bass have enough of a presence on the national stage?
Because I think Rice is one of the few people under consideration that would push conservative buttons. I mean, that's fine if she's far and away the best candidate--but I think the options I mentioned are equally good in their own way, and less likely to excite conservatives to vote against. Elections are all about driving turnout, which comes down to enthusiasm for and against. In 2016, Hillary Clinton drove enthusiasm among conservatives to vote against.
I didn't know anything about Mike Pence or Sarah Palin when they ran so I think having a presence is not a game changer for the VP position...I mean,,,,Dan Quayle was VP
I just want someone who I feel comfortable taking the reigns if Joe gets to the point he can't remember where his sock drawer is.
