So much repeating... Can you imagine if this was the truth though? The statute of limitations has passed. He will NEVER be proven guilty. It is an accusation floating in space. Much like Blasey Ford, who also spoke of the incident multiple times for years afterwards, it must be admitted that it seems laughable to suggest these women are playing the 20+ year long game.

I do think it’s ridiculous. But if I said the same thing VS a Trump accuser, I think the responses would be much different.

Do whatever. If your schtick is to say predictably offensive things, go for it. You obviously think it’s clever.

I think Kamala is his best choice.

Aside from being black and a woman, more importantly, she is smart, an ex-prosecutor, and can help carry the mantle / brand of competence in government, which I think is what people will desperately be looking for. She's also a great orator and can fire up the base. And she's charming and funny.

Stacy Abrams doesn't have enough experience IMO. I like Amy, but too midwest, moderate, and white. Warren is white and too old.

Kamala brings nothing. California is not in play. There is nothing gained.

And I think her role as a prosecutor actually could hurt her among the black community. Among some she is seen as a traitor for that.

The democrats need to work on the midwest area.

But as much as people think Biden (outside of the TR potential blow up) as the nominee is just as bad as HC was, the difference is, maybe people actively HATED HC, vs the # of people who hate JB is smaller.

He's not as big of a name, but that has it's benefits. It's similar to Bernie, he has a very loud group of people that support him, same with HC. But the broad support just isn't there, same with HC. Yes, HC won the popular vote, but she lost states she had no business losing.

Clyburn said today it doesn't have to be a black woman. That would seem to signal it will not be, since previously he said it should be.

So Klobuchar is probably the lead horse at the moment. Personally I'd prefer Warren as VP, but Amy might be a better VP candidate.

This why I have all along thought that Val Demings might be a good choice...she might very well help Biden to flip Florida.

In no particular order, my choices are and have been Klobuchar, Harris, and Demings.

She was better known nationally than Klobuchar, due to her high-profile (and much lauded, especially among Democrats) questioning during Senate hearings. Though Klobuchar may have raised her profile to a similar point by now due to running and staying in the race longer. Haven't seen recognition polls for them recently.

It's a matter of what does Biden need more to win the election. If he chooses an African American woman as his running mate as he is being pressured to do, does he have enough support in the midwest?

Kamala Harris or Stacey Abrams won't help him win the midwest. They will more than likely ensure he wins the African American vote.

If he picks say Klobuchar, Whitmer, or Baldwin to help him win the midwest, will he still get the African American vote? He was not popular among African American voters until he was endorsed by African American leaders in the Carolina primary. Before then, he lost that part of the vote.

If he doesn't pick an African American woman as his running mate, will this piss off the African American's. Make them feel disenfranchised? Enough to vote for Trump or elsewhere?

If he decides to choose someone to help him with the midwest, Klobuchar seems the best to do that. It is unclear whether biden would have won any primaries in the midwest had Klobuchar not dropped out and endorsed him. He was not doing well there in polling.

Whitmer or Baldwin would likely net him their home states, but would they help him win the midwest?

Biden needs the midwest to win. It is why Hillary lost. Hillary won the African American vote. So Biden probably would if he decided to go with a mid west helper.

Elizabeth Warren is a popular candidate that would run well with Biden, but she doesn't help him in the midwest. She brings the more progressive voters back to the table. Will they come anyway?

So skin color, gender, and age are the top considerations for you. Got it.

One thing you didn't take into consideration was that several make or break states that trump won were extremely close and that voter turnout was one of the worst we have had in years. The key to the race and as we saw in 2018 is getting voter turnout in 2020. Republicans don't like large voter turnout.

@SlyPokerDog thats why I was thinking Amy. She’s pretty popular in a battleground state.

Maybe getting rid of Trump is enough of a motivator to inspire high voter turnout. Biden needs somebody next to him who can energize the Democrats.

We both know too there will be a mass suppression in the midwest and southern states. How does that affect things?

If they try to suppress voting then states need to be on top of that. Like I mentioned, the 2018 elections pretty much showed that there is a growing trend of more people voting and then factor in the mail in vote that might be allowed nation wide and that would likely doom trump.

I don't think that's correct, although it's hard to say for sure because IA and NH have so few blacks. Biden did win the black vote in NV. And he always led in nationwide polls (of black voters).
