I was looking at Von Wafers stats, who's currently a FA, and came across his PER when he was with the Clippers. Ok, it was only ONE GAME but still surprising. -40.7 PER Anyway, He was a solid player with Houston and is better than a lot of options out there.
According to "ridiculous upside" (a d-league blog) via Wendell Maxey (beyondthebeat.net) the Blazers might have interest in Will Conroy, B-Roy's old UW pal. http://www.ridiculousupside.com/2010/2/23/1322622/catching-up-with-will-conroy-all http://www.beyondthebeat.net/201002...ry/another-d-league-call-up-for-portland.html
The biggest attribute of the 15th player is for practice. What do we need the most in practice? That's where we should go.
Rod "Boom tho" Benson. If there is any player in the d-league that fits the city of Portland its that dude.
As far as I can find on the CBA FAQ page, the only deadline relating to today is that players waived after today can't be added to another team's playoff roster. I don't see anything that would prevent a team from adding a player that's already a free agent later than today and having them on their team for the playoffs. In fact, we know that the Cavs already plan to do this with Ilgauskas.
