I also voted for LA. He is the closest right now and still young. If Oden stays healthy, he could pass up LA. But I see LA as being closer right now.
Oden, is my guess. Bayless would be next on my list. He has a great skill set...if he brings it together into one consistent, controlled game, he'll be a definite All-Star. To weigh in on the Batum thing, I think he has All-Star potential. I wouldn't say it's his expected value, but I think it is his ceiling. Some of it is just amateur scouting on my part, but he looked so natural and in control on the court last year as a 19-20 year old, which I think is quite rare. He also has impressive athletic gifts and a natural flair for defense, the second thing also being rare. I don't think he's a phenom, but I think he has a chance to be pretty special.
consider this. IF oden had not gone down and had continued to improve even slightly, right now he would be top 8 in the league in PER (currently #9), would almost certainly be leading the league in blocks, and would be top 2 in rebound rate and top 3 in FG%. oden would have gotten a lot of consideration THIS YEAR. health aside he is the obvious choice.
