He's confident and very knowledgeable of the game. If he's too good I wouldn't be shocked if he gets a better gig that's a step up.

Lamar Hurd is a great hire. I'm still not sure how much I like Calabro though. The thing is, I'm sure I've seen/heard him a bunch, but I didn't even recognize his name when we hired him so he must not have made much of an impression on me.

He announced the Memphis at Portland Game 4 in the playoffs in 2015 for TNT:

Really? You must not pay attention nationally. He's been a playoff announcer for years. Even when he was covering the Sonics he'd do playoff games at the end of the year if they didn't make it. One of the best in the biz.

How do you not recognize a name like Calabro, bro? He will be a great hire. I'm a big fan. I know we Blazers fans are loyal and love our crew, but if the organization were going to move on, I can't think of a better hire (that was realistic).

I won't be able to make my mind up about Calabro until I see how he deals with a streaker.

Well, to be fair, nobody would be able to have a proper reaction to Wooks streaking...

I wonder if he will do the same now that he's here. Usually you only get to hear your announcer in the first round, however if he calls playoff games he could potentially announce for us throughout the playoffs. Would be interesting to hear him commentate regular season as the Blazers guy, and them 2nd round plus as a national guy.

I think the likely reaction to me streaking is for everyone within eyeshot to immediately self-immolate.

At a minimum, I'd grab the nearest Coors light and rinse my eyes out. Or pepper spray. Something....

That's my point, he must not have made any sort of good impression if I didn't even remember his name.

"Streaking", to me, seems to imply moving with some sort of speed. I think Wooks would be more of a "stroll".
