All I can say is that there better be somebody with a previous connection to the club or that the local fans can identify with. Basically...... don't f-ck this up, McGowan.

You keep bringing this up. They all got one full year of severance pay. If my boss came to me tomorrow and said we're going in a different direction and need to let you go, it would come as a shock, but then if they said, we'll continue to pay you your full salary for a year while you look for your next job, I'd be totally cool with it. It's not like they tossed these guys out on the street without any compensation. By letting them go now, they have the entire summer to line up their next gig before the 2016-17 season starts, and if that doesn't work, they still get paid in full until next June. We should all be so lucky.

No, they basically told Mike, Mike and Tone to CTC (cash those checks) for the next year. Honestly, I'd find it hard to be too offended if someone was willing to pay me a full year's worth of salary for doing nothing.

    They had a contract.

And standard corporate severance is 2 weeks pay for every year worked.

They basically got "future endeavored", which is a corporate overlord way of saying "go fuck yourself".

If you have a contract and are fired without cause, you get the whole amount of that which they did. Did they get a severance package in addition to what they were owed?

Exactly what I've been saying. Why can't we stronghold their market like they do us? If anything it's a fuck u to them. The Seattle haters should be happy for that.

Plus I want the Blazers to do financially well as possible and if it's taking over another major city and even Vancouver BC I'm all for it.

How is it low class when they just re signed them for 3 years last year? And they have another year left on their deal to sit down and enjoy their families while getting paid.

Their getting paid what? Half a million bucks for the next 12 months to chill and enjoy some family time. Mike and Mike were cool and all but it's not that serious

Dude I love your loyalty to the Blazer team. (announcers included) It reminds me when we got rid of Sheed and then Zach. You were not a happy camper as I recall. I applaud you for your passion.

Well, we'll just have to agree to disagree then. I thought they were an integral part of my Blazers game watching experience. Having been forced to watch other announcers feeds on League Pass, Mike and Mike were comfortable to me. They were like family.

Last game in LA in the playoffs, Mike Barrett came up into the fucking stands about 15 rows and took a pic with us.

And though I don't agree with you overall, it is completely admirable.:)
