I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'd rather have Love.

    1) He hasn't punched a member of the team staff.

    2) He doesn't think he's a super duper pooper star. I think he'd be more likely to accept a role here.

    3) He would fit in Stotts system seamlessly.

    4) He just signed an extension. Griffin will be a free agent after the 2017/2018 season and I HIGHLY doubt he would re-sign here.

    5) Love doesn't rely on his athleticism nearly as much as Griffin.

Not a random staffer, but a personal friend by all accounts. In any case, I don't give a fuck. Lots of friends get into spats and even punch each other. People here just don't like Blake because he's exactly the kind of guy you hate if he's on another team and not yours.

So we're clear I think there's a snowball's chance in hell of this ever happening. But if we are going to get a top ten talent in a trade the guy is going to have issues, otherwise he'd never be available.

So you would put Griffin above Love in terms of overall talent?

Playing devil's advocate........Blake has one more year after this on his current contract......(he will most definitely exercise the player option )

Knowing his personality, what are the odds of him resigning with Portland? I would say slim to none. I see CJ as a long term Blazer. If we traded him, I would want someone for at least 3 years in return.

Talent wise I agree Blake is better.

Yeah I don't think Blake would stay here. I think love would be much more likely to stay here (and has mentioned he would like to play for pdx someday)

I'd rather keep cj over either though.

Blake is obviously the most talented, he's just a douche.

How much has CP3 helped boost his numbers though? He wouldn't be getting nearly the same number of lobs from Dame.

I'm sure CP3 helps, but the guy has plenty of native talent of his own. He's a reasonable shooter, he's got a nasty edge (yes, this is a good thing) he rebounds, he can handle the ball a little.

Yeah, I'd take him off their hands even if it was a two year rental.

I agree. Blake is a better overall than Love (IMO). Conversely, I think Love might be a slightly better fit. But the deal breaker is the one year rental of Blake (this year doesn't count) in exchange for CJ. Hell no. I'd rather have CJ indefinitely or three years of Love than one year of that Smug Fuck Griffin.

Hmmmm...... weaving together a few different ideas that have been thrown around:

    CP3/CJ to Cleveland.

    Love/Irving to LAC

    Griffin to Portland.

CP3 is definitely a factor in Blake's game, although he played his best last year (or the year before??) when Cp3 was out for a while. But my question is who would be our coach? Blake Griffin in a Terry Stotts offense? Doesn't seem like a match made in heaven.

Of course changing coaches is easy.

Again one reason I think Love is a better fit.

Exactly. This isn't exactly Hollywood or Times Square. Plus the offense doesn't seem conducive to getting the most out of Griffin. Whereas, Love seems like a Stotts kind of guy. And I know CJ is. Then there is the whining flopping douche factor.
