If this Blazers team actually lives up to expecations. I hope Olshey uploads an Ace Ventura style hip pumping video on Youtube. That would be great.

I was thinking a video of him more like Tom Cruise at the end of Tropic Thunder.

I think Vivek is the most fragile owner in the league right now, he is fresh meat for a guy like Olshey.

LaMarsha was a nice shy bitch, but we got burned from her too.
I really don't think Cousins is that bad compared to LaMarsha...he can give you thug loyalty which is very underrated and all the players love Stotts (how can you not?) so everything will be alright imo.

I don't know if I agree with your takes on those three players.

1.) Vonleh hasn't even played significant minutes due to injury, so I'm not sure how you can claim he's a bust. When healthy, he looks like he's fully capable of being a solid contributor. He's probably the best chance of being an all star.

2.) I actually see CJ as a Jason Terry that can play defense. That's very valuable IMO.

3.) Plumlee is too young to even consider him just a rotational player, plus he was backing up their star center Brook.

You keep Vonleh or Leonard if you trade for Cousins... Probably Leonard because he can play the 5 and put Cousins at the 4. If Nic has a good year next year I could see bringing him back because he's be perfect next to Cousins... basically we cash give up whoever as long as surround him with 4 shooters and another wing that can run pick n roll

I'm not sure I would take nic back. this season he is going to be fighting for a contract after being traded. if we sign him again in fee agency I am guessing it'll be right back where we were.

If we somehow land Cousins we need to go ALL IN on Durant. We'd be better than the Wiz.

That's the key. Land a borderline superstar like Boogie and things change drastically for the better in the quest to land Durant or LBJ.

I'm warming up to Boogie on the Blazers. Now that the Tex Incident is over, I'm ready.

I'd only take Nic back if we got Cousins and couldn't score a better free agent SF. He would work well with Cousins. I'm just not sure what wings are in the magnet next year that can run pick n roll with Cousins and shoot. The only one I can think of is Chandler Parsons if he opts out.

that's the exciting thing... if we get Cousins to pair with Lillard, we'll be one of the frontrunners for Durant.

I agree. I think Plumlee becomes a nice trade asset with more minutes. He, Vonleh, Harkless and Crabbe is a nice young package to offer. They get good young potential and cap space.

On the other hand I have no problem keeping them if Boogie is not available.
But a Cousins, Leonard, Aminu, CJ, and Dame unit to close games would be fun to watch.

I just thought of another reason to bring Cousins: he's the one who fucked up LaMarsha's thumb!

    What a great guy.

Cousins is becoming the new dream man. Hes a better fit here than 'Marsha was. Cousins and Vonleh/Leonard are perfect fits. If you add a SG and SF with that stretch 4, Dame and Cousins will become the deadliest pick n roll combo since Nash and Stoudemire, due to not only skill but how spaced the floor would be. Cousins would be perfect giving handoffs to Lillard in double high post action. Lillard turns the corner, the 4 man fans out to free throw line extended, and he has options. If he kicks back to Cousins at the elbow, he relocates to the corner and Cousins has tons of room to attack, likely at a recovering defender who helped with the Lillard drive.
I'll be beyond mad if DMC becomes avaliable and we don't make an offer they can't refuse. He makes too much sense.
