Are we talking about for just this year and next or for the next 5 years? The answer to that is crucial in picking the player. Right now? Easy. It's LeBron. He's the greatest player in the game and arguably a Top 3 player of all-time. Future? For this team? It's pretty easy that it's Kawhi.
My answer as well. He's too young and talented. If I had to choose from the options and this is for all seasons going forward, I'd choose Kawhi Leonard. I think James will be great for another few years. I think Leonard will be great for another 10 years. You have to choose LeBron, though, if it's just for next season or just for a playoff run.
Yea the purpose of my question was right now for this year, alluding to the fact that Lebron should be MVP. Agree that if the future is considered Kawhi is the answer.
Lebron is still hands down the best player in the game and he makes everyone on his team better. Its Lebron and I dont' think its a close discussion.
If we add LeBron to our lineup today, without any practice time, I think we win the championship this year.
LeBron. He's the best player in the league right now and will continue to be for another 5 years(at least). It's not even close to close. The guy coasts in the regular season & still puts up MVP numbers. Imagine if he tried. Kawhi, Giannis, and possibly AD have the potential to dethrone LeBron, but it aint going to happen anytime soon.
In a different time I probably would have said Kawhi, but after seeing how quickly careers can evaporate with Oden and Roy, I say live for today and pick Lebron.
I don't get this post. You compare two players with injury histories coming out of college to a guy in Kawhi Leonard who has a fairly clean injury history.
