Who was a better shooter and on what basis do you make the claim?

USA Today and several other sources call Karasev the best long range shooter in the draft.

Several sites list Reggie Bullock as the best 3&D prospect in the draft. Volume 3pt shooter who hit 43% of his 3pt shots.

We might have bought or dealt for some of the picks that were clearly available. We could have bought the Mavs' pick and had Crabbe, too.

    One example.

Well, Karasev was not available at #20.

From what I've read, Bullock is better statistically on the catch-and-shoot. Snell's better on the pull-up. I'd agree that these two were the best wing shooting prospects available at #20. Bullock is better known since he played at UNC. Snell easily wins the wingspan battle and also posted one of the best scores ever in the combine agility drill. Bullock would not have been a bad selection. Snell wasn't either.

I would have been happy with Bullock as well.

We should be thankful the pick wasn't sold to avoid some tax consequences.

They must be confident they can deal Deng.

    My $ 0.02:

I was not expecting the Snell pick, but am fine with it in hindsight. I didn't know very much about Omer Asik, Nikola Mirotic, Jimmy Butler, Taj Gibson, or Thabo Sefolosha.....and they all turned out alright.

I think this pick will have little to no bearing on what we do with Deng or other offseason plans, with the exception of Marco Belinelli.

    What I Like:

39% from 3 on high volume as a primary scorer, lots of which came from moving off the ball.....all things that look to carry over very well.

    Good jib

Compared to Bullock, Crabbe, and Hardaway Jr, he seems to have more defensive potential and a better ability to score in traffic due to his length. He won't be able to create easy shots for himself, but will make difficult ones more frequently.

Seems like an okay ball handler (but not great).

    The Bad:

His release looks nice, but his shooting motion is slow and deliberate for someone who's going to use it as his calling card. I personally find this troublesome because a quick stroke seems like one of those things that separates good from great shooters.

It seems like he has quick feet, but an average first step and vertical leap, and a high center of gravity. So I think he might not have much of an offensive game after 2 or 3 dribbles. He'll get you pull up jumpers, floaters, and scoop shots, but draw fouls or get to the rim very much.

Overall I have no qualms with the pick and am excited to see how his game progresses.

    Welcome to the Bulls, Tony!

Yeah, everyone seems to be talking about Snell as a shooter who doesn't do much else. From the very limited footage of Snell, he looks like a good handler and I'm not a fan of his shot. That's kinda' what Gar said too. Snell seems to throw himself off balance on his jumper. You can shoot 10,000x different ways, but if a player's balance isn't right, they are almost never consistent shooters.

I think he's going to play SG for us. With Deng playing all 48 of every game, there's not much PT at SF :)
