Where's Josh Hart? He's better than more than one of the people in that lineup. Also, Lonzo should focus less on his arms and more on his legs.
He seems to think the added muscle will help him more accurately hurl the ball in the general direction of the basket: Lonzo Ball says jump shot improved thanks to adding muscle What he REALLY needs to focus on is this FT shooting. 45% from the line is fat out awful for anybody, but for a PG that will have the ball in his hands a lot, that's historically bad. But, never fear, Laker fan(s). They can always bring Rajon Rondo and his .543 FT% in to ice the close games at the line. That has to be the worst FT shooting PG duo in NBA history. Hell, it might be the worst FT shooting PG duo in CYO history. BNM
I'd be worried if we ran into them in the playoffs, as I could see LeBron willing them to 4 wins in a 7 game series. But they shouldn't finish ahead of us record wise.
Rumor has it both Rondo and Ball have been flirting with Lebron’s Mom so we’ll see how this experiment goes...
I actually think it's going to be LaVar that Big Ballers Gloria. He hasn't said/done anything outrageous or controversial lately. So, I'm sure he feels the need to do something that will get him back in the headlines. Do they still have their reality show? If so, banging LeBron's mom would surely boost their ratings among their target demographic (i.e. morons). BNM
I'd love to see Ball's dad come up and try to talk to James after a game. 'Bron would be like,"get away from me Clown".
He needs to do more than that (like make a fucking FT). LeBron has been at his best when he's surrounded by shooters. It spreads the court and lets him attack the basket. If the help defense comes, he's one of the best at finding the open teammate. If the help defense doesn't come, he's second only to Michael Jordan in finishing at the rim. If you surround him with non-shooters, he won't be as effective. That's exactly what Magic has done: Ball = .305 3FG%, .451 FT%; Rondo = .333 3FG%, .534 FT%; Lance = .289 FT%, .661 FT%; JaVale = .000 3FG%, .582 FT%). Whenever one of those guys are in the game, the defense can sag off them and help on LeBron. When two of them are in the game, the defense can just pack the paint. Hart and Ingram shot respectable percentages from deep last season, but combined they made less than two 3-pointers per game - not exactly prolific. Kuzma is an average 3-point shooter. They sure as hell don't have a Kyle Korver, a Kyrie Irving, a Kevin Love, or even a J.R. Smith on their roster. LeBron's really going to have his work cut out for him this year. Opposing defenses are going to key on him more than at any point in his career. Still the greatest player on the planet, but the worst collection of teammates he's had in 11 years. BNM
Magic is high on everyone he drafts and signs. He can make a FT, so that makes him look like Steph Curry compared to Ball, Rondo, Stephenson and McGee. Still, I doubt if Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk is who LeBron James was hoping for as a teammate when he signed with the Lakers. BNM
How does adding muscle help you shoot MORE down the middle instead of the opposite side of your head? That's ridiculous.
