<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Justice @ Aug 25 2006, 11:00 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I think Elvis is up there for sure. Cash is as well, but I'm not sure that people from around the world are going to be able to relate to his music quite as well. Black Sabbath, give me a break. You are basically asking for me to say who is the greatest musician of the 1900's, and that wasn't the question. The question posed was, and I quote, "who do you think will be the artists that are remembered from our time? (the 1900s)." Elvis, The Beatles, and MJ were already named, so I didn't waste everyone's time by being a complete redundancy. Not to mention the fact that there are other legendary musicians out there that have been compared to Mozart... examples being Handel, Beethoven, Bach, Joseph Haydn, the list goes on. Stop putting words into my mouth, read the thread, and stop riding me.</div>You started in on me dumbass. I will back mine up. Elvis commercialized music to an extent no one else had. Cash crossed country/rock boudries. Black Sabbath made rock music which most metal roots can be traced to. I wanna hear your reasoning for Sinatra. I don't disagree with his mentioning. You read the post and back it up.

Bluegrass was influenced by people, and emo was influenced by people. Are those people going to be remembered in 50 years? The thread is NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT GODDAMMIT about genres. It is about who will be remembered from the 1900s. There are millions of people all over the world who perform and love his music. There will be in a hundred plus years. I can say Elvis will and Cash will. I'm not so sure about Black Sabbath.I DID NOT EVER EVER EVER SAY THAT ONE SINGLE PERSON (that person being Sinatra) WAS THE ONLY PERSON FROM THE LAST ONE HUNDRED YEARS THAT COULD BE CONSIDERED COMPARABLE TO MOZART. DID YOU NOTICE THAT? DID YOU?And no, I didn't start on you. You first called me ignorant. Then you now say in your post that you don't disagree with his mentioning. So are you ignorant now as well? Can you contradict yourself anymore than you already do?

To be ignorant means to not know. I don't think you know that much about Sinatra. You didn't explain why you picked him. Still didn't. I never once said this thread was about genre's.

You said it is ignorant to compare him to Mozart (which is ridiculous since we are only vaguely associating musicians to him). Then you basically said that you don't mind Sinatra being on the list. That's called being contradictory.Actually, what I really think happened is that you didn't read the thread until your third or fourth post, so you didn't know what we were talking about. Common mistake.

it's much different in this time. There are so many different styles of music, not one genre is completely popular.

So I assumed you were comparing Sinatra to Mozart because Mozart was the only musician mentioned in the original post. To compare a vocalist who did not compose or arrange his own music to one of the great composers of all time is very ignorant. But I know now that that was not your intention. Had you posted your reasoning in your first post there would have been no confusion. :beerchug:

OutKast. They're amazing. They come out with crazy and fun songs every album, and are kind of a new style that's great to listen too. They and Rammstein are my favorite musical groups.
